Overview & Reviews
A new 3.5-liter V6 replaces the previous 3.0-liter unit. Larger 17-inch wheels and tires are now standard on the V6 AWD model and optional on the front-wheel-drive version. Antilock brakes are standard on all V6 models. The interior has been upgraded to reduce noise and now incorporates metallic and leather trim. The front seats now have seatbelt pre-tensioners and dual-stage front airbags. New entertainment choices include MP3-compatible CD players, satellite radio and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system (late availability).
- Strong V6, large doors ease entry/exit, spacious cabin, comfortable ride, excellent crash test scores, good fuel economy.
- Bland interior, low-grade plastics, inconsistent build quality, noisy four-cylinder, vague steering.

Alternative to a Usd Car - 2004 Saturn VUE
By Riverman - May 15 - 10:00 amBig Rebates put a new VUE in the same price range as many used cars. The Saturn Vehicle Exchange Program works. My first Saturn Vue (manual transmission)would fly out of third gear on hills. I asked for a new Saturn and took my choice. This is a fine option to a Compact Station Wagon. Very practical. The type of people who like "sensable shoes" buy Saturn.

Surprisingly Fun - 2004 Saturn VUE
By Lawrence Banks - October 15 - 1:53 amOur first SUV, the VUE V-6 has more pep and agility than our previous larger car. The exterior fit n finish continues to make it look show-room new without much upkeep. Didnt use the rear fold-up parcel-carrying feature at first but now find it very useful in carrying grocieries without them spilling around when driving. Wish the front and rear seats were a little more comfortable. After two years and 20,000 miles vehicle stills looks like new and has never needed any dealer repair or adjustments..

Larger than life - 2004 Saturn VUE
By Skiipole - September 6 - 2:00 amHave you ever had to chane a childs diaper in the backseat of a car? I did with room to spare! I was just about standing in the backseat with plenty of rrom for me and my child to do the task quickly, safely and warm (it was a Buffalo WINTER!) I had a L200 and the vue cost less and is beeter! If you had a Saturn than all the features are familiar places.Comfortable (leather heated seats) fun (5 speed trans and sunroof) sharp to look at (nice alloy rims) easy to driv (same ride as L series but higher and better visablity)

Vue Review 4U - 2004 Saturn VUE
By Fall04Vue - August 21 - 3:36 amGot an awesome deal on the Vue! Was dealer driven and bought it w/4000 miles and received all the new car discounts plus the extended 100,000 mile warranty. Have had to take it for minor parts repaired that were covered under the warranty. Previous vehicle was a S10 Blazer. Honda engine and 6 cyclinder has good get up & go. Drives great in MN winters. Plenty of room to cart around others and equipment.

New Vue AWD V6 Owner - 2004 Saturn VUE
By ZenBro - July 15 - 10:00 amJust purchased the AWD, 6 cylinder Vue today. On my return trip of 80 miles, I filled the gas tank up as full as I could get, at a station right on the expressway. I set the trip meter to zero, and proceeded to drive the 80 miles of expressway, with the cruise set at 65mph, and the AC off. I had to pass 4 semitrucks, at a max speed of 75mph. I got off the interstate and refilled the gas tank as full as I could. It took 2.38 gallons to get it completely full. This works out to 33mpg, which is amazing for an AWD vehicle!! I will be keeping track of the gas mileage, to make sure this wasnt an anomaly of any kind, and will report the results.

FunDrive - 2004 Saturn VUE
By Hurryup - June 16 - 1:30 pmI have had the V6 FWD for about 38,000 miles and it continues to awe me with pick-up and highway comfort. The 17 inch wheels and tires create some low speed rumbles but they more than compensate on road trips. The finish in and out still looks new and the impression when clean is an impressive appearance. The recent shift I made from driving 30,000 miles a year to 10,000 showed poorer mileage in stop and go. The 6 likes to be run long trips to reach the 24-28 mpg I get on 60+ mile 75+ MPH trips. Overall I have been extremely pleased with the VUE.

Very nice vehicle - 2004 Saturn VUE
By Ron - May 8 - 9:13 amThis is my second Saturn and I have had very good luck with both of them. Nothing fancy but comfortable, reliable and economical. The VUE handles very well and can be towed on all fours behind an RV with the Honda engine. I would buy another without hesitation.
