This Year's Model Updates:

For the 2007 Pontiac G6, there are substantial under-the-skin changes. The GTP version, which is now offered as a coupe or sedan only, is powerful this year, thanks to a new, all-aluminum 3.6-liter V6 with variable valve timing. The engine produces 252 horsepower and is matched to a new six-speed automatic transmission. The engine in last year's GTP, a 3.9-liter V6, is now an upgrade option for the GT trim. Pontiac has also increased the output for the GT's standard 3.5-liter V6 by 23 hp this year (16 hp for convertible models). Other G6 changes for 2007 include expanded availability of side curtain airbags, hydraulic power steering for GT models (versus the former numb-feeling electric power setup) and a couple of new sport- and luxury-themed packages.

Pros:
  • Spacious rear seat, peppy yet fuel-efficient V6 engines, sporty suspension tuning, retractable hardtop in convertible model, available panoramic sunroof in sedan.
Cons:
  • Some low-grade interior plastics, numb electric steering in base sedan, panoramic sunroof eats up rear-seat headroom.

  • Awesome Car!!! - 2007 Pontiac G6

I purchased this car about a year ago and I still LOVE it!! I previously had a grand am that I liked, but I got sick of it after only 9 months. this is the only car Ive ever had that I didnt get sick of right away. Also the first brand new car I ever got. The exterior is amazing, I have seen some reviews about them not having remote locks, I guess I thought it was standard. I have remote lock/start, sunroof, 19" rims, V6, heated leather seats, automatic with manual option, telescoping steering wheel.

  • Sporty goodness - 2007 Pontiac G6

For the price I found this car to be a pretty solid purchase. I opted for the 3.9 liter engine with the 6-speed manual, and the premium package. I love the way the car looks and handles, and am also positively impressed with the build quality. I am a little disappointed that the 6 disc in-dash changer is not mp3 compatible, and Im also not a very big fan of the front cup holder location. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and get a smile on my face whenever I drive it.

  • Fun Car for 2nd Childhood - 2007 Pontiac G6

My wife and I are retired and traded in our Chrysler 300 to purchase this Fun (2nd) car. So far it is everything we hoped it would be. It has great acceleration, handling and braking. We feel safe because of the Stability Control System and the side impact air bags. The 8 speaker Monsoon system sounds great with controls on the steering wheel. We love the fact that its a hard top in the winter. Everyone we see wants one including our daughter who is out looking for one now. It draws looks everywhere we go especially when putting the top up or down. We are getting 3 miles per gallon over what the sticker said and the price was under 30K. Cant beat it.

  • Love My G6! - 2007 Pontiac G6

I got my G6 in January 07 and have loved it since. Its fun and easy to navigate. I think its extremely roomy inside, especially in the backseat. The only problem that Ive had is during on of our snowstorms in February I slid into a snowbank and about 5 MPH, and it shattered my bumper and radiator. Granted it was cold out, I think the construction of these parts could have been a bit more withstanding to such a small incident. Otherwise, I would highly recommend Pontiac to anyone I know!

  • Good Value, but few things missing - 2007 Pontiac G6
    By -

Just bought my new G6 with the 1-SV package. The price was GOOD (under $15K) and its fun to drive. I like the gas mileage (30), size (not too big, not too small), look (SHARP), and handling (smooth and responsive). I dont like the drivers seat (too narrow) and the missing features (no cruise control or remote locks). Also the sun visor mirror has plastic covers where the lights should be (looks cheap).

I just got my G6, but I love it soo much. I previously had a Sunfire, so for anyone that would be a big step. Its a beautiful car for the price.

  • Ideal Car for Anyone! - 2007 Pontiac G6

The G6 offers everything for anyone. With all the great models, who could resist? The 2007 GT model was for me. The 225 horsepower 3.5 liter V6 and spacious interior makes for a well rounded car. The smooth transmission is solid and creates excellent fuel economy. I enjoy this car much better than anything before, including my wifes 2006 Honda Accord. This is my first domestic automobile, and I am impressed. Contrary to belief, the build quality on my auto is very high.

  • My first new car - 2007 Pontiac G6

This was the very first time that I purchased a new car. I have only had the car for a week but I love this thing! It even came with free maitainance for a year. Be carefull though it drives fast with no problems. Love the red lights at night and the audio system rocks!

  • Cushy Car! - 2007 Pontiac G6
    By -

I love my Pontiac G6! It feels wonderful to ride in--a very cushy, soft ride. I have the Value Leader and am glad I didnt opt for the higher priced model, because this one is just perfect. All I added was the spoiler, which I like. Otherwise, this is a great car. It has a lot of pep for a 4-cylinder! I previously owned a Pontiac Firebird and thought I wouldnt find anything better, but this car is sweet with great styling, and gives the feeling a luxuriousness that the Firebird did not. I feel very mellow in this car.
