This Year's Model Updates:

For the 2007 Pontiac G6, there are substantial under-the-skin changes. The GTP version, which is now offered as a coupe or sedan only, is powerful this year, thanks to a new, all-aluminum 3.6-liter V6 with variable valve timing. The engine produces 252 horsepower and is matched to a new six-speed automatic transmission. The engine in last year's GTP, a 3.9-liter V6, is now an upgrade option for the GT trim. Pontiac has also increased the output for the GT's standard 3.5-liter V6 by 23 hp this year (16 hp for convertible models). Other G6 changes for 2007 include expanded availability of side curtain airbags, hydraulic power steering for GT models (versus the former numb-feeling electric power setup) and a couple of new sport- and luxury-themed packages.

Pros:
  • Spacious rear seat, peppy yet fuel-efficient V6 engines, sporty suspension tuning, retractable hardtop in convertible model, available panoramic sunroof in sedan.
Cons:
  • Some low-grade interior plastics, numb electric steering in base sedan, panoramic sunroof eats up rear-seat headroom.

I love driving to and from work wiht the top down. It has been over 100 degrees this summer, and yet even with the top down, I can feel the AC....The look is great, and the fun doesnt stop...I hvae the GTP with the bigger engine, and it has plenty of get up and go - sacrificing some MPG in the process

I really didnt expect such a great vehicle. Ive been a high volume fleet and internet manager for my Pontiac dealer for a long time, but honestly I never thought Id personally buy a G6, but it came time to buy a house and I wanted room in the budget, so I got rid of my loaded up Sierra truck and got this G6. It is a great riding car, great build quality, powerful, I am really surprised. Ive had Pontiacs in the past and never cared for them. I think theyve stepped up a notch and are a great value. I highly recommend the G6 if you want a great vehicle for your money

First car we bought brand new. It now has 41,000 on it and knock on wood not one problem. It has the pano roof which now needs minor adjustment for wind noise no water leaks. We like this car so much we went out and got the same year convertible we like this car as much. I will suggest getting ice and snow tires for the winter.

Just last week on I-95 I hit an already dead deer which was in the road..it was dark so i didnt see it until the last min. I ran over the deer at 75mph. the car did great.. no damage and I was in control the whole time. This car may have saved my life. This is a wonderful car to buy!

As the owner of an older Ford Mustang convertible, it is so nice to not be worried about having to replace the top every 5-7 years. The interior is amazingly roomy nad safe . We have three kids and the back seat will comfortable seat tehm as they get older (the 11 yr old boys are not much shorter than my average height wife) and the front seat is real safe with the dual stage air bag (one heck of an improvement over two pint seat belt and no air bags in the older car). Its also quiet and comfortable with the top down! Heated seats are a great way to increase top-down time in the Fall.

I have not had the automobile long, but the handling and striking good looks are incredible.

  • Good affordable car. - 2007 Pontiac G6

We chose this car after driving the Accord and Corolla. This replaced my wifes old Sentra. While this car certainly did not have the bells and whistles that the other cars did, and this was a very basic model besides, there was still quite a bit to like about it. It is comfortable and roomy inside and has all the amenities for the daily commute. Bottom line is that it has been a very good car for thousands less than its competitors.

  • More than I expected - 2007 Pontiac G6

Very roomy especially in the back seat. Nice standard features. I am averaging 27 mpg on a 35-40 mph loop. Very responsive power with 4 adults in car. Very little wind noise even at higher speeds. The cars gets a lot of comments and looks from people. I looked at over 30 different cars in this class and found the G6 the best car for the money. Hopefully it will hold up over the long term. Dealer has been honest and very helpful through the whole purchase process. I highly recommend this vehicle for the price.
