THE GOOD: ...Good for the pocket, around 18.000 full equiped. Good performance, excellent windshield that allow you to have a good view, automatic mirrors, powered windows, good cd player and 7 speakers with subwoofer, nice trunk...enough for what you usually need. Nice grill design THE BAD: Generally speaking is a typical sedan. poor interior design THE UGLY: PROBLEMS WITH WINDSHIELD DEFOGGING- DEFROSTING, ENOUGH HUMIDITY ON THE CONSOLE. NOISY AIR CONDITIONER. NOISY ACCELERATION AND CHANGE OF SPEED

After looking at many cars (including the SVT Focus, Neon SRT-4, and Nissan Altima, I decided on the one I had my eye on from the beginning. Performance is great, you can launch from 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and still has good pickup in 4th,5th,&6th. Comfort is nice, I like the bucket seats, some might not. Fuel economy - AC blasting, I got 31 MPG going 450 miles.

I just bought this car, and I am thrilled with it. I am surprised how well it drives considering the price. I test drove the corolla LE before purchasing the sentra, and it was horrible. It drives like a cow compared to the nissan. The sentra is about 2k cheaper than the toyota. The only problem I have had with the car is the check engine light came one at 80 miles. The dealer says its nothing. It does not even give a code when they hook it up to the computer.

Very nimble driving ability (theres a reason for all those gears.) Good pickup from a dead stop; passing ability is superb. On clean, level pavement the handling is nice and tight. On uneven pavement the can go airborne very easily. The front end is very light. Im not looking forward to driving in the snow. There is not enough traction to keep even a modest start from making the tires squeal. The premium sound package is tight and well tuned. It is not super-audiophile quality, but it is mostly clear and has a good range. The back seat is _very_ cramped - there is hardly any leg room.

Bought this Nissan 4 yrs ago. Had to replace breaks, tires, wheel baring starts hard and some times will not start at all, the radio went out 1 yr after purchased, trunk leaks water pump went out 102,000, dip stick broke, engine lite stays on all the time.

  • So far, so good - 2004 Nissan Sentra

I bought my 04 Sentra 2.5s two weeks ago, and so far, so good. The cars engine is wonderful, quick and responsive. The back seats, however, leave much to be desired as they are VERY cramped. The fuel ecnomy could be better (Im averaging about 23 mi between city and highway driving). I test drove the Civic while shopping around and although a very solidly built car, I felt its engine was a bit boring and not very powerful at all. So, all in all, my Sentra is turning out to be a pretty good buy.

Car is very noisy. Engine tapping, loud road noise, strange sounds coming form front suspension. When I brought the car back to the dealer I was told the noises were normal or did not exist.

And then a couple times it didnt do it!!! Anyone else having the same problems? Especially the horn honking!!
