Overview & Reviews
After a model-year hiatus, the 2009 Nissan Murano returns fully redesigned. Given its popularity, styling changes are kept evolutionary, while an upgraded cabin and key mechanical refinements further its appeal.
- Responsive powertrain, sporty handling and smooth ride, luxurious cabin in LE trim.
- Cargo space behind second row a few cubes shy of some rivals, compromised rear visibility.

2009 Murano - 2009 Nissan Murano
By Lillie - July 21 - 5:46 amI noticed in some old entries that Wind noise was a problem at 50 MPH and up.Coming from the left side windows and doors. At the bottom of the steering wheel, the extra piece is really not needed. The seat belt is too close to the seat,on the drivers and passengers side hard to lock. Something needs to be done to the wind noise..........

No Compromises - 2009 Nissan Murano
By Helen - May 25 - 2:40 amI traded in my 2003 Murano. I absolutely love the 2009 Murano. I looked at the Toyota Highlander and the Lexus 350LX. The Murano blew the doors off of the Lexus. All the standard features on the Murano LE were optional features on the Lexus and Toyota. The fit and finish is much better on the Murano than any other SUV on the market. Nissan really got it right. The little details are what make me so happy. Like the back up camera, the keyless ignition, the heated seats, the laptop ports, the automatic liftgate, the 20" wheels, the large console display, and of course the stereo system. The styling is really fresh too.

Drive train failures. CVT and Xfer case issues. Dont buy Nissan! No Manufacturer Support! - 2009 Nissan Murano
By weightclub - May 22 - 11:51 amIts too bad Nissan wont stand behind THIER product. They did replace the CVT (now that they extended the factory warranty to 10yr/120K) but our transfer case was leaking too (as so many of them have) and we were told it couldnt be rebuilt since it was one that had been made with a bad part! What floored me was we got NO help from Nissan at all with the cost of the replacement part. I even contacted the executive offices in TN. $3K later, I still have a metallic rattle when the CVT is trying to kick out of the first "gear" and after reading about how many others had the same issue, I am VERY worried I will have to replace both drive train components again if we hang on to the car.

My first Nissan, probably not my last. - 2009 Nissan Murano
By New Nissan Owner - February 23 - 4:33 pmDiligent research on the net and a few visits to dealerships resulted in my purchase of the 09 Nissan Murano. The car is put together well. Leather interior is incredible. Driver seat could double as a ez chair in your house. It is very quiet. Performance is spectacular. The v6 with CVT is breath taking. Instruments and controls are all easy to see, read and use. The front console screams LOOK AT ME! at night. Very attractive. Fun and responsive to drive. Rides and feels nicer than vehicles I have used that cost twice as much. Outstanding vehicle. Absolutely ZERO "buyers remorse".

Rattles, Rattles, Rattles - 2009 Nissan Murano
By Shelly - December 24 - 2:00 amI purchased this vehicle over a year ago. I have had horrible problems with rattles. On the left front of my dash to the left of the steering wheel, in the center council near the gear shift, on the right dash and the worst one is in the far front where the dash meets the windshield. It is very frustrating, because I have had my vehicle in for rattles several times and they cannot figure the far front dash rattle. My girlfriend has the exact same murano and hers just started with the same rattle at 20,000 miles. I thought they fixed it, only it came back after 3 days. I have read many sites where others are having the same problem. Breaks squeak bad

Murano SL AWD - 2009 Nissan Murano
By bbk - November 4 - 10:30 amThis crossover is a terrific vehicle and is fun to drive. It has many great features, but you need to get all the packages to achieve that. The ride is smooth with great pick up.
