Another winner - 2009 Nissan Murano
By NewCarGuy - February 7 - 11:36 pmWhen my lease on my 04 Murano expired I went to lease a new 09, but was surprised with the significantly higher lease payment. After driving many competitors (MDX, RDX, RX350, Edge, RAV4, Pilot, FX) I still came back to the Murano. Compared to the previous model the 09 offers a more comfortable seat along with a smoother ride. There seems to be plenty of power, but I notice a slight lag off the line compared to my older Murano (it may just be something I have to get used to). Nissan has another winner on its hands!

By Stan - January 17 - 6:46 pmWe shopped through all of the crossovers and were most impressed initially with the room and options on the Murano. It drives very nicely and if you are not careful you will find yourself at 80 mph on the highway without realizing it. It is quiet and comfortable. I am 64" tall and I have plenty of room in the front and back seats. The acceleration is above average for the CUVs we tested and the vehicle handles well. Drive this before you buy any other CUV!

By Antonio1958 - January 10 - 11:03 pmI traded two vehicles: an 03 Murano SL AWD and 05 350Z Roadster after realizing that it is no longer practical for me to have 2 vehicles requiring premium fuel. I purchased a black on black w/leather LE loaded with the dual panel roof instead of a DVD player. This car is an absolute delight to drive and Im amazed at the amount of room as well as the creature comforts. When you press the accelerator, it responds effortlessly. 20hp more than my 03 and seems like about the same mileage with mid-grade fuel. If you select a black one, only use microfiber cloths on the exterior and say good-bye to automatic car washers.

Disappointed with my 2009 - 2009 Nissan Murano
By Oskertwo - January 2 - 11:13 amI had a 2005 Murano and loved it. After test driving the 2009, I decided to trade the old one. The 2009 is definitely more refined than my 2005. However, the 2009 has been riddled with squeaks, creaks and rattles since delivery. It has been off the road for almost a month in total as the dealer has tried to repair it. After replacing almost all plastic pieces in the interior of the vehicle, there is now an issue with how the body panels were assembled at the factory. Nissan is not clear yet how to fix this issue. It likely will involve body work, re- welding the panels and inserting some type of insulation to prevent rubbing during body flex. Stay tuned. Check other blogs for similar posts

Love my Murano - 2009 Nissan Murano
By Lore - December 15 - 8:57 pmI bought my 2009 Murano new. I have been extremely pleased with the vehicle. I drive low miles of about 7k a year, which may account for some of my experience. From reliability to ride, Ive loved it.My only complaints are the tire size is rare and you cant update the navigation yourself. Otherwise, it has been one of best vehicles Ive owned. Im only giving it up now because my kids are out of the house and Im ready for a car. But Ive had such a good experience that Im giving the Murano to one of my kids.

developing problems - 2009 Nissan Murano
By george keating - December 6 - 2:00 amshortly after the warranty 36k expired problems begin to appear. window auto up sw quit,engine knocks on 1st accel, have to restart to stop knocking, xmission slips. all in all a nice car that is developing problems to quickly. probably will not buy another one for this reason

Very Please with Murano - 2009 Nissan Murano
By Joe Virginia - December 4 - 2:20 amRecommended by other Murano owners and glad I purchased this. Great rode trip vehicle. Storage space is limited. Very comfortable with 4 adults. Side view mirrors are xlarge and makes up for limited rear view mirror visibility. Very quiet overall at any speed; but if if external winds are reasonably high, the Murano doesnt smoothly cut through them and you get some cabin noise (but it isnt terrible). Nav system w/ XM traffic is fantastic. Display is large and clear. At 64" I required something that would fit me and the leg, hip and shoulder room are very adequate.

By cmgmd01 - November 20 - 3:23 pmWhere the 2006 was good, the 2009 is great. Super comfy on long drives, better sound insulation, higher quality fit and finish all around. Cross shopped against Lexus RX (too expensive) and Infiniti EX (too small). This should be on your short list if you need a 5-seat vehicle.

Too many recalls - 2009 Nissan Murano
By Beverly - October 22 - 11:56 pmI fell in love with the 2007 Murano, and when read about the 2009 I waited 3 months to purchase the new sleek 2009. I even paid full MSRP to get the right color and style I wanted. But it has been one service visit after another. 2 recalls, 1 for reprogramming the airbags, and 1 for the repairing the clock. This last visit, there seems to be a air leak that is a known issue in Muranos, but since the car is so new, the parts to replace are not yet being manufactured, so the service department returned my car and asked me to wait for the recall notice to fix. How disappointing.

Keeps getting better - 2009 Nissan Murano
By kmanwest - October 1 - 11:23 amThis is my third Murano. The 2009 is the best yet. Much better on all levels of quality and the ride and transmission finally match the price tag. The only downside is the mileage in the city. Very quiet ride, great stereo, seats are very comfortable.
