Overview & Reviews
After a model-year hiatus, the 2009 Nissan Murano returns fully redesigned. Given its popularity, styling changes are kept evolutionary, while an upgraded cabin and key mechanical refinements further its appeal.
- Responsive powertrain, sporty handling and smooth ride, luxurious cabin in LE trim.
- Cargo space behind second row a few cubes shy of some rivals, compromised rear visibility.

09 murano - 2009 Nissan Murano
By alfiez81 - December 18 - 8:53 amI got an 09 le murano, I love the the way it handles and how comfortable it is. The thing i dont like is how in the winter when it snows the rims always get snow building up and makes it shake or ride ruff down the road. I know all rims do that after alot of snow but not everytime it snows. Another thing is my driver door has frozen shut on me twice from just he slush splashing up. I dont know if i got a bad seal or what? other then that i love it! Where do u get new tires i cant find any store that carries 235/55/20?

My thoughts on the 2009 Murano SL - 2009 Nissan Murano
By Z-Man - December 13 - 6:20 amNo problems in the first year/15,000 miles of ownership. Just returned from a 2610 mile road trip up the coast of California to Oregon and back home to San Diego with a 2 day stop in Yosemite. We traveled twisting mountain back roads, country 2 lane roads to freeways and have to say this is the best touring vehicle we have ever owned.

What A Sweet Car - 2009 Nissan Murano
By LosCampiones - December 6 - 5:10 amPicked up my 2009 SL AWD today, and man is it fun to drive. It has every option you can get on the SL (i have the dual panel moonroof instead of the DVD). The wife loves the dual panel moonroof, I love the navigation and the bluetooth. The start of the engine is a nice growl, and the rearview camera will start your journey out the right way. The turning radius is great, and the handling of the sterring wheel is fantastic. The ride truly is smooth, even over bumps and road imperfections, and you will find yourself well over the speed limit if you dont monitor your speed. The CVT truly is quite nice once you get used to it. Braking is safe and quick.

Great Vehicle - 2009 Nissan Murano
By First Timer - November 26 - 4:30 amThis is my first Nissan and I am very impressed. Very nice features and the build quality appears to be outstanding. The ride is very comfortable. The interior has a nice fit and finish. I traded in a BMW for this vehicle and I found that the Nissan has more features and comfort. It is a very attractive vehicle inside and out. I would recommend this vehicle for those looking for a sport crossover. I could not find anything that could beat this, let alone at the price.

Best value crossover SUV - 2009 Nissan Murano
By stactum - August 11 - 8:23 amI own SL AWD for almost 3 weeks now and was able to test it in some heavy snow conditions here in WI and what can I say - just AMAZING! I liked the previous 07 Murano in the past and was waiting for redesign for about a year and Nissan did not disappoint me. I like the handling of this car a lot. I havent driven BMW X5 which considered to be one of the best sportier handling SUVs, but Murano handles very well and secure, body lean is very little and steering and break feel is great. Interior space is just perfect for me, even it is a little smaller then 07 model. Exterior is still growing on me and I think in a year or so everybody will be talking how good looking this car is.

Best value crossover SUV - 2009 Nissan Murano
By stactum - July 2 - 12:20 pmGreat car! I purchased mine 03/08/08 and so far put about 1200 miles on it and what can I say, every time Im in it, I enjoy it every second. For me one of the important things is the handling and agility and Id say its been great, pretty much BMW-like. Steering and braking feel is excellent. I am getting roughly 21.5 MPG in mixed driving. Its been mentioned that you cant listen the music when car is off, but you just should try to press Start button without pressing brake pedal and it will work without engine being on.

Luxurious! - 2009 Nissan Murano
By Christi - June 23 - 2:23 pmMy husband and I looked for a new vehicle for two years. We test drove almost every brand out there and many, many models. When the 2009 Murano made its debut, I was instantly mesmerized and I knew I needed to test drive this crossover. Our first test drive was unbelievable - I really couldnt believe how comfortable, stylish, and sporty. I knew as soon as my hubby test drove, he was sold. The Murano is exceptional in every single way. I think other brands need to open their eyes (including Acura, which was on the top of my list BEFORE I found the Murano). If you want a top of the line car that is sporty and drips luxury, this is it - youve arrived.

Very happy first time Nissan owner - 2009 Nissan Murano
By Marillion fan - June 1 - 10:40 amI have had this car for about 3 weeks now and am extremely happy with my decision to get it. The 09 is so much better looking than the 07s I looked at. The interior in particular is superb in the leather and aluminum trim. I prefer the SL trim to the wood of the LE. On 2 long drives (500 mile round trips) I have gotten close to 26 MPG which I think is good for a care of this size and engine capacity. I plan on keeping this one for a long time.

Very surprised - 2009 Nissan Murano
By Happy - May 19 - 3:43 amI have driven many high end SUVs, from Porsche to Land rovers and this SUV is right up there with them. Sure the Murano may not be as fast or handle as well, but it is not slacking either. It drives like a car! Very comfortable! The Tech is very intuitive, much better than what the germans have to offer. The Ipod integration is simple, and the Bose sound system is amazing! This has true "keyless entry," never have to remove it from my pocket! Bottom line is the price, you get so much for so little, good job, very satisfied!

Great Vehicle! Read my review! - 2009 Nissan Murano
By WAZ - May 15 - 12:13 pmWaited awhile to write in review but first to clarify a couple things from others reviews... memory seats are available(LE model) & you dont have to use premium gas. I definitely agree with the folks that say this is a poor mans Lexus RX! What sold me: It is super quiet inside, very comfortable (Im 62"), roomy front & back, all the goodies like intelligent key, backup camera, etc. I actually did little research on this vehicle before testing it out but once I drove it, it had my attention. I bought SL and added Leather, Tech, Performance Pkgs (& moonroof)... it saved me $3-$4k from buying LE and only diff is nav system, memory seats, rear-heated seats, ipod hookup... not worth 3k to me!
