Overview & Reviews
Not satisfied with the current crop of crossover SUVs? Nissan rolls out the newest car-based SUV, the Murano. It boasts a powerful V6 engine and distinctive styling.
- Very good use of interior space, unique styling inside and out, smooth and powerful engine.
- No third-row seating, SE model rides harshly, gets pricey with options.

Very Nice - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Bed1976 - September 26 - 10:00 amThis car is a wonderful car. Compaired to all the other cars in its class, the Murano has all the added features to a car in its standard model that one could get if they were to upgrade another car, S.U.V. or truck. The standard features on this car is more than enough for me. However if you would like to really be spoiled than you could spend the extra money and really live it up. The handling of this car is just as great. As well as the pick up this vehicle delivers. All in all, the Murano is a very nice car and I have no regrets about buying one.

handles great, little annoyances - 2003 Nissan Murano
By heisman - August 14 - 10:00 amDrives wonderfully but there are a few annoyances: a rattle in the backseat somewhere that the dealership is having a hard time pinpointing--have had to take it 4 times and its still not fixed; headlights look like they stairstep up to the right, as if they were stalled unevenly, but the dealership says they are all like that?; also, brakes squeal when putting the car into reverse, and again, the dealership claimed to have fixed the problem by cleaning off "the glaze" but the problem has not gone away.

bad Luck - 2003 Nissan Murano
By pedromesa - April 2 - 2:00 amThis car was purchased based on design, it is used in every day work, driving some times more than 100 miles daily, but maybe is that I have bad luck or something because right now the car is in the agency with a computer problem and they have to replace it and they dont have a real answer to that

Like it but not keeping it.. - 2003 Nissan Murano
By Lucy - February 23 - 2:00 pmSince the day I drove off the dealer lot I have had a constant problem with the windows making a snapping-like sound regardless if the windows are up or down. I took it back in about a week after I leased it, told the service shop about the problem with the window noise and they said they didnt hear it. I mention this all the time I take it in for its maintenance schedule and no one seems to be able to "duplicate" the noise. Other people have heard it when they ride with me but Im sorry, the Nissan service shops are either avoiding the problem or are deaf. I expected this SUV to be somewhat quality-built, but with the window problem Im not impressed with Nissan.

2003 Murano AWDSL - 2003 Nissan Murano
By mwhurst - January 27 - 10:00 amHas been a very fun, useful, economical and reliable cross-over. I use it for long distance commuting in all weather in the NE and it has always dealt with all the conditions nature has thrown at it with total aplomb (I have the DVC which really does work). On weekends it does major household hauling duty for trash and shopping; then turns around and becomes a people and bag hauler for sports events for my children. A great and very versatile vehicle.
