Overview & Reviews
The base E320 is replaced with the E350 for 2006. The new model name indicates a new engine -- a 3.5-liter V6 with 268 hp, a 20-percent increase from the previous E320.
- Sleek and dignified design inside and out, pleasing blend of ride and handling, sophisticated safety features, all-wheel drive available on both sedan and wagon models.
- More expensive than competitors, confusing control layout, electronically controlled brakes lack progressive feel.

Great car - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Fred - January 7 - 1:33 pmI have had this car almost two years, bought it MB certified but have had zero problems with it. Driven on on trips, heavy traffic, everything and the car handles it all. Was even great in the snow last winter. Highly recommended.

The Best - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By carol - December 21 - 1:26 amHaving owned Mercedes in the past, I just love this vehicle and its looks, performance, and having the 4 matic gives me more peace of mind for safety when driving in the tortential rains in Florida. This is a must have vehicle and price was well worth it.

Every Car should be a Diesel - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By startupguy - December 6 - 4:10 amFinally, after 30 years of dreaming of buying a Mercedes Diesel, I finally have one. I purchased a used 2006 E320 CDI in November of 2009. I am beyond impressed. First, the vehicles systems are easy to access, air, fuel and air filters all are easy to access and change. I am a bit of a technical nut so this is important and it should be important to every person as it makes repairs cheaper. This car is built like a panzer tank. It effortlessly cruises at 100 and the economy is uncanny. I routinely get 40 MPG in MIXED DRIVING. My best is 45 MPG on a trip on Maine. This car is Quiet, and remarkable powerful. It blows away my BMW 3 series. LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!

Wolf underneath sheep skin - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Sand07 - November 29 - 10:23 pmI had an Audi RS6 which was fast, but it doesnt compare to the power, handling and overall performance of my new E55 AMG. I love it, I love every moment Im in the car driving it. My Audi RS6 didnt deliver the same for me. I can easily tell how much faster my E55 is over the Audi. I have my car at a race track doing 12.2 quarter mile.

Great car - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By John - November 24 - 1:50 amLease was up on ML500 and I wanted something with space and fuel economy. With fold down rear seat and large trunk this was the car. I have averaged right at 30mpg and it drives great. Very quiet. Much quieter than my wifes 2005 Audi A8.

Mercedes Diesel is Great - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Bob - October 31 - 8:43 amI bought this CPO car sight unseen from a dealer about 800 miles from home. I flew there, picked up the car, and drove it home. The car was virtually flawless. I was a little worried when the CEL came on the second day, but the selling dealer said not to worry...get it checked when I got home. I did...and it turned out to be a bad glow plug. My local dealer replaced all six plugs per a TSB. I have owned several Mercedes diesels in the past but this one blows the others out of the water. It has very strong acceleration! How great is that in a diesel (remember the ones from the 80s?)! I got slightly better than 40 mpg on my drive home and in combination city/freeway get 30+. Great car

E320 CDI- best car owned yet - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By blissful - October 22 - 11:36 pmCar is fully loaded with all but hands-free telephone option. The only minor complaint I have about interior is the headrest is too far forward and cannot be adjusted back at all (so far as I have figured out!) Ride is exceptionally smooth and the torque is awesome- when you put your foot down: Wheee!! The car is beautiful. Pano roof is good so far- extra light is nice. Rear seat could offer a bit more leg room at expense of trunk, IMHO (I am tall and have the seat all the way back). Good fuel economy so far. Keyless Go is wonderful. Love it all!! Just wish I had more places to go :>)

Got Transmission? - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Maggie - October 9 - 5:00 amI am compelled to write a review on this car after a year and a half of ownership because it has been a series of non-stop transmission problems which Mercedez cannot seem to fix. I do not know if they have fixed the 2007 model but you really need to thoroughly test-drive this car and ask around. Also, the back tires needed replacement after just 20,000 miles which seemed a little too soon. This car also has a totally unusable cup holder, something you think is just a small thing but turns out to be huge for us commuters. I am thoroughly disappointed in my $70,000 purchase and wish I had stayed with a Lexus, a car I thoroughly enjoyed for ten years.

After four months of driving - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Jim Smith - September 18 - 1:50 pmI dearly love the car, if I can keep it out of the shop. It is the small things, like keyless go has given me fits (three service visits). Now the steering wheel up and down module is out (6 hours of labor). Other small things have gone out. I love the power, the economy of fuel, Sirius radio, GPS, and comfort, but overall quality stinks.

Tough choice - 2006 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
By Brad - July 25 - 2:30 amComing off a 2002 BMW530i, looking at BMW 530ix, Audi A6, and MB 3504M. Tough call. But the BMW was pricey and had awful interior controls, even after I got used to the exterior. The Audi was loaded with features and good looking but a mushy drive. I hesitated for months, finally settling on the MB. Drove it in a big snow yesterday. I have to say I would get another in a heartbeat. Classic look, great interior, wonderful drive. The drive is not as crisp as my BMW, but close. I enjoy the slightly more luxury feel more than I anticipated. Hey BMW, it has cup holders! If you are debating these three, go MB...
