This Year's Model Updates:

The new model year brings freshened exterior styling to the C-Class. A new dash, redesigned seats and tweaked trim pieces help to polish the interior up a bit, as well. A new audio system with six speakers and a CD player is standard across the board. Further updates include an improved short-throw six-speed manual transmission and revised suspension tuning. A DVD-based navigation system is newly available, while the C320 wagon has been discontinued. The complimentary scheduled maintenance program has been dropped for 2005.

Pros:
  • State-of-the-art safety and luxury features, three body styles to choose from, pleasing power from top V6 engine.
Cons:
  • More expensive than competitors, ordinary cabin furnishings, small backseat.

When I picked up this car the salesman said that Id be getting all the build quality and safety features of the very expensives MBs. I thought "sure". He was right. My other two previous cars had both been back to the dealer for repairs in the first six months. Not this one. Theres just something about a Mercedes that connects the owner to it. No wonder people keep them for years and hundreds of thousands of miles. Im still finding small features now even after 6 months.

This car is amazing. It handles great and there a ton of features. Can also be easily customized to fit the look you need.

  • Fun To Drive - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I compared this car to the BMW 3 series and found it to be a better all around car. I almost bought the 2006 model with v6 motor, but wanted the supercharged 4L with better gas mileage. This car is truly a fun car to drive. I know its not MB top of the line, but my car came with the H/K sound system, NAV,Xenon lights,Tel-Aid phone,Powered driver seat,17" chrome wheels etc. etc.. Its nice to know that I get the same extra amenities that the bigger (more expensive) upper models get, but at a fraction of the cost.

Great car all-around. Interior is simple, yet attractive for 04 but restyling for 05 is just plain WOW! Gas mileage could be much better (like the C230K) but is about the same as the IS300.

  • Great Car - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Great car to drive, especially with the 4 wheel drive. Very comfortable. Could use more horsepower.Compared with the Cadillac Seville STS I drove befroe this car, the C 320 is heaven to drive. Only two problems right off the factory floor: License plate light did not work, and airconditioner leaked coolant. Both were repaired after (unfortunately)several visits to the dealer. No problems since.

  • Great car buy. - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Im only 2 months into owning my C230, but already it feels like a keeper. What I like mostly is that it is quite heavy and solid for its size. No rattles. Stock wheels are beautiful. Suspension is firm but not jarring, considering the 45 profile tires. Engine has lots of power, yet Im getting 26mpg in town. Panorama roof is great. Choose your color carefully because the image of the care changes.

  • Not a Single Problem in Over a Year! - 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

I have had my C320 Sport Coupe for 14 months now and have never had any problems. The only time it has gone to the dealer is for its first oil change at 1 year - that I find amazing in itself! Service is only required every 13,000 miles or 12 months. Very fun to drive, very good road-holding. Dealership has treated me like a king. I was a little apprehensive to buy a Benz because of Consumer Reports giving them a bad rating. My personal experience, though, has been this is the first new car I have ever owned that has never had to go to the dealer for any adjustments or fixes. Talk about a carefree ownership experience!

Im very happy with the C230. The dealer was outstanding. The product was better than what I expected. My wife and I share the vehicle. Its like that commercial whoever is getting to the vehicle first, drives it.
