This Year's Model Updates:

New body-colored door edge guards are available as an option, as is Homelink and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a built-in compass.

Pros:
  • Roomy and comfortable interior, peppy V6 engine, drives more like a car than a truck.
Cons:
  • Weak base four-cylinder, mediocre fuel economy and driving range on V6 models, cheap-looking interior.

  • I love my Zoom-Zoom - 2004 Mazda Tribute

I boutht one of the first one of these in 2001 and I have put 55,000 miles on it with NO MAJOR problems...I LOVE IT...it is GREAT in the snow and pulls my SeaDoo with NO EFFORT...it even pulled my Ski Centurian before I sold it. It drives like a sports car and has a luxury feel. I had SO MANY people come up to me and ask me what it was ...and so many people have asked me if I want to sell it....the 4 wheel drive is so easy when you go skiing. I think this car is definately WORTH much more than the price...people think its a LEXUS...(I have a BLACK one) ENJOY...

Bought my Tribute used with 140000 on odo. 1 owner and they took such good care of it, WOW what a fun drive!!! Moved up from a GeoTracker. Love the rear cargo room and the leather seats, and the stereo! Previous owner had no major repair or complaints in the years of ownership, was buying a new Tribute. 140,000 miles folks and not a oil leak on the v6! I hope to drive this light SUV to 350,000 or more. Only complaint I have is the small gas tank.

The Tribute is my 5th Mazda. I love it. It andles well, has great pick up, has a nice feel. The 6 way powered and seated heat is great. Very roomy inside. It is just as roomy as the 2000 Mazda Van I had with the ezception of the 5 seats. It truly does hold a 4X8 sheet of plywood with ease.

I had a hunch that the Tribute would be a very good vehicle because I have owned 2 MPVs and knew the Tribute would be a great addition to the family. Fun at the Beach, in the mountains and love to ride with the Moonroof open. Great Vehicle......so far. Needs the front bracket mounted, but I mounted it anyway because there are 2 small places where you can drive screws into the bumper and display your favorite tag. Go Noles/Dawgs!!!!!

This is my favorite vehicle that i have owned so far - it beats the mountineer that I just turned in.The ride is smooth, pickup for a 6cyclinder is great. All the features for the price, heated seats,sun/moon roof,cd changer, awd select on switch, cargo area that you dont have to stoop over to load, leather seats,on and on, this vehicle is wonderful.

  • THE BEST 4WD EVER !!!!!! - 2004 Mazda Tribute

This vehicle handles great!! Fantastic power when getting onto interstates. I have a moonroof which is great for all that fresh air without messing up your hair. Comfortably seats 5 sdults with plenty of leg room. Lots of room for groceries and even the rear seats fold down for those extra large purchases. I love my Tribute!!! ZOOM-ZOOM !!

  • Objective Feedback . . . - 2004 Mazda Tribute

After fact-finding and test-driving, I found the Tribute as my leader among strong contenders (Honda CR-V, Subaru Forester, Mitsubishi Outlander, Jeep Liberty). The Tribute has great off- the-line power, a roomy interior, and great ground clearance. Lastly, the price point on the vehicle is very reasonable.

  • Quality controls could be better - 2004 Mazda Tribute

My car was delivered to me with a leaking windshield, anotherleak which soaked the carpet,a damaged headliner and the front end out of line. The dealer did all repairs to my satisfaction.Unfortunately,Mazda customer service didnt think this was anything to be concerned about.

  • Excellent SUV - 2004 Mazda Tribute

My experience with the Tribute has been nothing but positive since purchasing the vehicle last fall. The Tribute is extremely roomy inside and very comfortable. It drives smoothly and feels much like a car. Only negative I would say is the range. 16 gallons isnt enough in my opinion. But overall, I HIGHLY recommend this SUV. Their somewhat rare and thats another reason I like it.
