Overview & Reviews
New body-colored door edge guards are available as an option, as is Homelink and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with a built-in compass.
- Roomy and comfortable interior, peppy V6 engine, drives more like a car than a truck.
- Weak base four-cylinder, mediocre fuel economy and driving range on V6 models, cheap-looking interior.

Love my Tribute - 2004 Mazda Tribute
By Love my Tribute - June 5 - 10:00 amThis is my 2nd 2004 Tribute. The first one I traded for a Mazda 3 because of rising fuel costs back in 2005. I missed it so much that when I found another used 2004 within my price range, I bought it. It had 68,000 miles on it when I bought it and now has 95,000. The only thing that its been in the shop for is recharging the AC. I love the way it rides and drives. I have a 20 mile commute to work and this past winter, when we had several bad snow storms, I didnt miss a day of work.

18/22 mpg??? - 2004 Mazda Tribute
By Goober - May 21 - 8:40 pmDunno where they get these fuel ratings. I get 27 on my commute & up to 30 hiway. Have never gotten lower than 25 mpg, even pulling the trailer. Not bad for a 2.0 4 cyl.

What A Great Ride and Performance! - 2004 Mazda Tribute
By Mr M - December 1 - 2:00 amI have only owned this car (truck) for a month and I just wished I had bought one sooner! I truly find this Mazda a Joy to drive! It handles great and has Power to keep up and run away from most cars! I love my Stereo with the 7 speakers and 6 CD player. If anyone knows about a Tribute car club in the New England area please drop me a line. Thank you and Happy Driving everyone!

Tribute - 2004 Mazda Tribute
By FrenchTeacher - November 21 - 10:00 amI needed an economical SUV and wanted to buy a Honda. I ended up with the Mazda Tribute after finding the Honda dealers in my area unwilling to negotiate on price. Thinking I was accepting second best, I was thrilled and very suprised at the great performance from this economical four cylinder five speed. What a fun little jewel. Despite the four cylinder engine, the car is very peppy and really does ZOOOM,ZOOM ZOOM! I live in West Virginia where we have very steep hills...no problem!

Mazda Tribute LX 4X4 - 2004 Mazda Tribute
By PCFlorida - November 21 - 10:00 amI purchased this Suv 6 months ago. It is so much fun to drive, has pep & is stylish. But ,when you use the air conditioning it uses alot of gas. Also, the wind noise is very noticeable. The interior has a cheap feel to it. Leg room is limited, Especially when you put a childs booster seat in the rear.

Tribute O.K. - 2004 Mazda Tribute
By Rdock - October 31 - 10:00 amNice and peppy. Handles well. Interior design is a little cheap. Ignition is in a terrible place. Radio could be better or speakers. But the price was fair, and my wife enjoys driving it. I havent had a chance to try the four wheel drive yet. But Im sure old man winter will change that.
