Suspension rattle - 2011 Kia Sorento
By fxp2 - October 28 - 9:33 amI just talked to a Kia rep for consumers affairs and explained to her that I thought the suspension is too hard and rattles in the back. After reviewing other reviews I realized this is the number one concern of most people. In addition, the tires are way too hard and do not help the suspension system. So far, the rest is ok.

By Nick - October 11 - 10:00 amHave 4500 miles on my 2011 Sorento and just barely still have the fillings in my teeth. Over city streets it feels like the suspension is going to fail. Ive contacted Kia. many times and their answer is that a fix hasnt been issued yet for the suspension. I guess they will wait long enough for me to get upset enough and sell the car then their off the hook. The car has a lot of nice features but driving city streets everyday comfortably isnt one of them. If you experience the same problem contact Kia and complain.

Wife loves the KIA - 2011 Kia Sorento
By jack Johnson - August 30 - 10:00 amWe love the KIA, the look and warranty is what got me interested.I had looked at the HIGHLANDER and ARCADIA.The wife (since she drives it more) feels more comfortable in the KIA compared to the ARCADIA and we like the body style and looks better than the HIGHLANDER along the warranty and price the KIA won. PROBLEM, within 2 months bad shock and rear tire was faulty, I had to pay for the tire since the manufacturer has no warranty. nether were on the dealer shelf so that meant extra trip to the dealer and vehicle downtime. We were told that the spare tire was full size, wrong it is a donut, 55 mile per hour made the trips to the dealer longer.had to order the cargo cover, not what the salesman said

We love it! - 2011 Kia Sorento
By Hawkize1 - August 30 - 10:00 amBought the EX-V6 AWD in June so far have 3800 trouble free enjoyable miles on it. Been on a couple day trips with the vehicle and have loved the ride, the mileage and value. We avg 25.7 mpg on 70-72 mph interstate driving and 27.5 at 55- 60mph. Fun to drive and has many great features. No problems with the Sorento what so ever. Id always opt for the V6.

With the owner loyalty and cash back rebates, along with another 2 grand off from the dealer, I walked out of the door for 18,500. That price included sales tax, plates, doc fees, and accessory floor mats.

Good Bang for the Buck - 2011 Kia Sorento

We were impressed initially with the features that came standard and were won over by the options added that made it more affordable comparatively speaking to the Honda CR-V and Toyata Rav4. Power is a little something to be desired but not horrific by any standard for small 4 even when loaded with the family. The interior features are well designed except and the seats are comfortable and roomy in the front and spacious as well in the back. The biggest issue I would have is the noise and ride from the suspension. Ive heard that the newer versions have dampers and Ill chekc with my dealer concerning that. A great buy!

Not bad - 2011 Kia Sorento
By derf - April 10 - 2:03 pmI like the interior space, the handling and the filtered cabin air. We just did our first trip with the KIA sorento 4 cylinder FWD automatic. It is rough riding compared to our Chrysler town and country. I am really disappointed with the gas mileage. It claims to get 29 mpg (4 cylinder FWD) but I only averaged 25mpg on our trip. I used cruise control and was on 4 lane highways all the way (508 miles). With All my other cars I got 2 or 3 mpg more than the window sticker. Perhaps the EPA estimates have been "readjusted".

Sorento Shocker? - 2011 Kia Sorento
By nickelhorse221 - February 15 - 2:53 amWell love the styling. cant beat all the options for the price. But could there be a downfall to all this value? Ive had my sorento just over 2 weeks. I have rattles and all kinds of noises for one. Now, my transmission is acting up. Has 1000 miles on it. Put it in drive and it acts like it doesnt want to go forward, then JUMPS forward and goes. Floor mats are completely falling apart for no reason, and the ride is very stiff. NOT what I expect from a 30,000.00 SUV.. I thought Kia came a long way, but man, I wish i would have bought something else. Never Never Never will I buy a Kia again. Im sticking to VWs from here on out!

Best of the rest - 2011 Kia Sorento
By Jack - January 17 - 6:40 amWe shopped several SUVs, crossovers and vans. Was a big fan of Toyota. This vehicle has us "converted". I am a big man and I have plenty of room behind the wheel/passenger. We opted for the 4 cyl as this gives us plenty of pep and decent mileage for our driving style. Just roamed the WV mountains and had no lack of power up & down hills. Is a treat to drive esp when compared with our Sienna. Plenty of storage space and room for our dogs to roam. Comfortable! Keep up the good work Kia, we will be back!!

Suspension Design Defect - 2011 Kia Sorento
By mark - December 12 - 5:36 amNice car with the exception of a design defect in right front strut. Comes about after 200+ miles, rattles like a failed shock absorber. Kia has admitted to the problem but has no fix as of 5/10/10. Applies to all 2011 sorentos. My dealer spent a week trying to fix before Kia told them there was no fix. If I knew ahead of time, would not have purchased.
