  • The real deal! - 2011 Kia Sorento

Had my Kia Sorento EX V6 for 1 month. Engine is great, very quick! The suspension is the problem. If you are considering it, please take a spin in one, go over some bumps, even the reflectors in the road, you will not like it. The suspension is too tight! It is an SUV and not a Corvette. I hate the suspension. I called Kia to try to deal with it and they say that is the design of the car, no other SUV handles rougher road as bad. REALLY look into it before buying the car!! If I had to do it all over, I would not buy it again!

We purchased my 2011 kia the last day in Feb. March 2nd I had to drive to Ohio for a family emergency. What a nice drive. Thank goodness for cruise control as before you know it youre going way over the speed limit. As of this date there are a few things that I would change or do differently. Third row seat is a waste for us.

  • Great Crossover - 2011 Kia Sorento

We have had our Sorento for 3 weeks now. Taken a couple of extended trips. 25 mph on highway, 21 in city (2500 miles so far). Rides stiff, but I knew that and like that ride. No rattles. Bluetooth works great; love the styling in and out.

  • Good looking car for the money - 2011 Kia Sorento

This is our first cross over vehicle. When I friend suggested I take a peek at the Kias I thought not. But, I did and Im glad. I really like how the car looks. It has a sporty high end look that will appeal to most high end buyers. However, I think more attention should be given to the interior. The seats are not comfertable and as another reviewer stated the console is hard! Its also a little sluggish when changing gears. Its also easy to engage the blue tooth on the steering wheel. Overall a good car. I think Kia will tweak the 2012s and that will be the one.

  • LOVE My Serento....At First - 2011 Kia Sorento

Was the first time I spent over 25,000.00 for a car. Had what I thought were minor problems the first 3000 miles. Radio would not come on when I stated car, iPod accessory would not work, back seat rattled when driving on any surface. Radio problem fixed(I thought) and complain about seats and vibration everytime I bring in for oil change. Tires rotated twice, no help. Sometimeswhen I start AC will not come one or the radio will not come on,driver side window will not want to come up. Now I went to park my car and would not go into park. Then I could not get my brake to press in so I could start car. In shop now. Everytime I hear we could duplicate problem or nothing wrong was found.

  • Not happy at this time - 2011 Kia Sorento

I purchased my Kia April 2010. The dealer suggested that we buy the Simonize package, what a mistake that was. When I picked up the car, after being simonized it still had bugs on the mirror and the front of the car. Well it gets worse, the seats were simonized as well, now every time a drop of water gets on the seat, it makes a spot. I have contacted the dealership and trying to get this resolved, so far nothing, but Im hoping that they will fix this mess. It looks horrible and Im very dissatisfied with the seat issue. Water stains the seats, body sweat or anything that touches the seats make spots on them.

  • Poor Choice - 2011 Kia Sorento
    By -

The Sorentos initial appeal, styling, interior room and optional third row, made it a reasonable initial choice. Now, at 700 miles, the Sorento is back in the dealership for a brake recall, faulty vent gate, navigation/stereo replacement and traction control inspection. The traction control continues to make noise after being engaged. The manufacturers tire choice has to be the worst in the industry. Overall this new car has done little to inspire confidence that it is a 100,000 mile car. We are going to sell it before we are too disappointed to hide it.

  • Love the Kia Sorento - 2011 Kia Sorento

We had such good luck with our 2004 Sorento it was an easy decision to buy a 2011. Its my wifes car and she loves everything about it, the only issue we had was an oil leak but Kia took care of it just fine. Last Friday my wife was driving to work and was involved in a head on collision, and her car suffered major damage to the front end and is totaled. But she walked away without a scratch, and was able to go to work the same day! When I asked her what she wanted for her next car, and the answer was a new Sorento!

The Sorento looks and acts expensive, however, is very affordable. The V6 offers plenty of power, for full loads or towing, and purrs along smoothly and effortlessly thanks to the 6-speed automatic transmission. Shifts are smooth and unrecognizable, however, under full throttle, responds with noticable torque. Plus, it runs on 87 octaine. The key less entry and push button starter are fun, but keeps you wondering where the house key is. The Bluetooth commands do not recognize voice commands very well. The 3rd row seating hides nicely when not in use and are easily brought into function for younger passengers. Overall, the Sorento looks and is impressive and fun to drive.

I purchased this auto based on research. One of the main reasons was for the advertised mileage.I have to say I am extremely dissapointed. I normally drive my autos ten or more years, but not this one.
