This Year's Model Updates:

The sedan receives exterior styling revisions with a new hood, grille, bumpers, side sills, taillights and wheels. Sedans now make as much power as the coupes -- 280 hp (up from 260) and 270 lb-ft of torque (also up from 260) on models with an automatic transmission. Coupes and sedans equipped with a manual transmission get even more power (298 hp) but sacrifice 10 lb-ft of torque. Sedans with the sport suspension package also pick up 18-inch wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. All G35s get a redesigned instrument panel and console area with aluminum or wood trim, and the manual transmission has been improved to provide a lower shifting effort. A Sport version of the coupe debuts this year and includes an even firmer suspension, a limited-slip differential, 19-inch forged alloy wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. Oddly, though, Brembo brakes are no longer available on manual-shift coupes.

Pros:
  • Powerful V6, balanced and capable handling, roomy cabin, reasonable price.
Cons:
  • Average interior materials quality, touchy brakes.

  • Easy on the eye and the soul - 2005 Infiniti G35

Unbelievable. The whole experience of the G35 Coupe 6MT is unbelievable. From the purchase, to the first drive. I have found that G35 family has luxury in mind as blends it perfectly with preformance. I am a mid twenties new family guy and this car still has a purpose. It can seat four in comfort so you can use the pratical angle on the wifey. Shifts on the 05 are smoother than that of the 03-04 and power delivery in each gear promotes spirited driving. This car has the beauty to turn heads everywhere and since is it relatively a unique brand, people will come up to you asking what it is and dropping compliments left and right. Only thing flawed is the dipstick. Recommended for anyone!

The 2005 G35 sedan w/sport suspension, auto and premium package is a well balanced automobile! I presently have a 2003 BMW 530i sport, premium, w/auto. The G35 is smooth and powerful. The lines on the car are well executed! The Gs performance and overall completeness are second to none within its class and beyond! This autmobile should be considered highly!!!

  • Hands down the best car for your money - 2005 Infiniti G35

Hands down the best car you can get for your money. In the dry weather the car can easily chase down, and carve a canyon road with a mustang GT or nissan 350z. But, its just as comfortable tracking through a blizzard with the likes of an acura mdx or honda pilot. The bmw 330xi, the audi a4 quattro, and the mercedes c320 4matic can simply not compete with this car. The awd system and engine are simply awesome, and to add injury to its competition, it comes with a very fashionable list of standard accessories (xenon lights, rear led lights, 17" wheels, heated leather seats, 6cd mp3 player, etc...) The only draw back is its mileage. It averages about 19-20mpg on the highway.

Apart from good performance and its great looks, this vehicle has excellent brakes. I recenlty witnessed a major crash, all five cars in front of me from three lanes were flying everywhere, I could have very well been involved in that mess, but the brakes stopped the car so quick. Everyone was going at least 65 m/h. My previous car would have never made it. This car is worth it.

  • This Car Rocks! - 2005 Infiniti G35

Began leasing my 05 Infiniti G35 (5-speed/auto)in Feb. Lots to love about it... amazing performance, relatively comfortable, decent gas mileage and it looks FANTASTIC! My fave thing is the way it handles, especially tight taking curves. Im driving the car - its not driving me...very responsive, in general. Turn the key and it roars! This baby is a real head- turner...youll LOVE it!

  • Fast, agile, heavy, rickety - 2005 Infiniti G35

Ive had the car for about 1 year+ and my impression is mixed at best. Coming from a BMW 328i, I was lured by the lower price and 298 HP in the 6MT. The power is excellent, and really there. The ride is a bit firm, but the handling is not up to BMW par. Car feels much less confident than the 3 series. Also lots of rattles in the interior point to a less than careful build. Where I normally got 22-23 MPG in my 5 speed BMW, I get 19-20 MPG in the 6 speed Infiniti.

  • great car that keeps getting better - 2005 Infiniti G35

Since the purchase of my new ride, i have found that there is nothing to complain about. I have owned several cars with different dynamics, driven even more, and found that for what i needed(more like wanted), the G35 coupe 6MT covered all the bases. Preformance, comfort( i fit fine in the seats, 510180lbs, these seats were meant to hug you and hold you still, sorry for those that are overweight)and especially the styling all do what they were intended to do. Satisfy. There are only a few things that bug me. One thing was the plastic grill. some billet would look nice there. The biggest issue and worst thing about the car is the dipstick. Terrible design.

  • Great Car - 2005 Infiniti G35

I finally did it! I bought a 2005 G35 sedan! I am very happy with this car. Much better driver than 2006 IS, Acura TL, and more power than BMW engines. Build quality feels great and updated exterior styling for 2005 is very well done. Regret not getting the navigation, but I got a great deal on this vehicle and I love to drive it!

  • Careful buying used - 2005 Infiniti G35

I purchased it used, pretty sure the previous owner didnt know how to drive a manual transmission that well considering after 2000 miles my clutch, hydrolic cylinder, and flywheel required replacement. Aside from that the car has been a dream
