This Year's Model Updates:

The sedan receives exterior styling revisions with a new hood, grille, bumpers, side sills, taillights and wheels. Sedans now make as much power as the coupes -- 280 hp (up from 260) and 270 lb-ft of torque (also up from 260) on models with an automatic transmission. Coupes and sedans equipped with a manual transmission get even more power (298 hp) but sacrifice 10 lb-ft of torque. Sedans with the sport suspension package also pick up 18-inch wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. All G35s get a redesigned instrument panel and console area with aluminum or wood trim, and the manual transmission has been improved to provide a lower shifting effort. A Sport version of the coupe debuts this year and includes an even firmer suspension, a limited-slip differential, 19-inch forged alloy wheels and drilled aluminum pedals. Oddly, though, Brembo brakes are no longer available on manual-shift coupes.

Pros:
  • Powerful V6, balanced and capable handling, roomy cabin, reasonable price.
Cons:
  • Average interior materials quality, touchy brakes.

  • Aint your mamas grocery getter! - 2005 Infiniti G35

Im a housewife and mother of two. Ive always been somewhat of a car enthusiast having "grown up at the race tracks." I love this car because the sedan is sporty enough and performs like the sports car Ive always longed for, but yet is practical enough to haul 2 kids, 1 stroller and groceries for the week. The trunk space is enormous! Who says you need to give up your sense of style for sensibility when you have a family?? Ive never had a car perform and take corners the way this one does. It definitely gets my heart racing. This aint your mamas grocery getter!

  • Great but can be better - 2005 Infiniti G35

This car is fast but in my opinion not so fast off the line. I had a 04 loaner sedan while sirius was being installed and it felt much, much faster off the line and in general, the engine felt more repsonsive at all speeds? The car needs more technology, its 2005 and it has reflector headlights, no rain sensor. no memory seat,no smart key, no onboard computer unless you get the navigation. By the way the improved interior for 05 is leagues ahead of the previuos generations. This iprovement is why I just purchased the 05 coupe, traded in my BMW. Infiniti are U listening??

  • Power, luxury, & sport. Nice!! - 2005 Infiniti G35

Battle of the cars; 350Z, M3, or G35. Definately G35. Youve got it all. Power, Luxury, and sport. The car has a sexy appeal unlike others, the comfort is ideal, and the ride exceptional. However, turn the VDC (vehicle dynamic control) and the 298 Hp engine shows you what its all about!! This car is a MUST have! The gas mileage could be a little better, but hey feel the torque. VERY satisfied, and Id buy the car all over again.

This car is so much fun to drive! It has great acceleration, corners well and looks amazing. I test drove the BMW 330c, Lexus IS300 and the Infiniti G35. The Infiniti handled the best by far. I get compliments on this car constantly!!

  • 2005 G35x with 18600 miles on it! - 2005 Infiniti G35

I found this car on 8/1/08 with 18636 miles on it! It has premium pkg C and I guess the sport package since I have a full sized spare tire and rim in the trunk. I have been very impressed by my car. This car is for the "grown man" that likes to play with his toys still. Im a 23yr old male who was considering a wrx sti limited also. But after my test drives I was willing to lose some power to get way more luxury and comfort. This has to be the best blend of power/luxury in my experience.

  • My first car - 2005 Infiniti G35

Not bad for a first car. I love the way it looks and feels. For all those who complain about how its a rough ride... you need to realize that this is a sports car and its SUPPOSED to feel that way. Dont listen to what the dealer/sticker says abouth mileage. They say 19/26 but its really more like 22 mpg MAX.

  • This is a dangerous car! - 2005 Infiniti G35
    By -

Dont even think about purchasing the G35 Sport Coupe as a "daily driver" (as the service folks at my local dealership like to say)if you live anywhere above the Mason-Dixon Line. This car is dangerous and CANNOT be driven with ANY amount of snow or slush on the road (I do mean ANY amount). I did not expect this car to handle like a front-wheel or 4-wheel drive, but this is RIDICULOUS. I have never experienced anything like it during my 45 years of driving. Infinitys customer relations people (who I was fortunate to be able to talk to after avoiding a serious accident injury) say that this is a "sports car" and have suggested that I consider trading it in for another vehicle.

  • Not Happy - 2005 Infiniti G35

Leased G35X, loved it the first 6 months. Brakes cost almost $400 to replace at less then 15000 miles. I drvie very conservatively. Noise in suspension now when I pass over driveways and when I corner. Great looking; great design details. Too bad the reliability is not up to the styling.

  • Beautiful car! - 2005 Infiniti G35

fantastic value and winning combination of sport and luxury... the best initial impression ive had of a car, and ive owned/driven many... youll need a winter tire setup if you live in bad weather states...

  • Great car for the money! - 2005 Infiniti G35

I love it so much that I look for excuses to take it on the road! The most exciting and rewarding car that I have ever owned!
