love my new toy - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON
By kate - April 8 - 11:50 amafter looking at all the suvs, i decided to go with the tucson ( i looked for 30 plus days). it is safe, fun to drive and alot of people either slow down or ask what it is i have. my six foot 2 son in law can sit in the back with head room to spare and has leg room. it rides like a car and i love to sit up high. i can finally see. only regret? it does not lock when put in reverse, you have to manually (button) lock the doors. really not a hardship. i would (and have) recommended this vehicle to friends and family. i am totally smitten.

Ode To My Tucson - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON
By PinkAC19 - March 20 - 4:13 amI purchased my vehicle 2 weeks ago, I love it very much. Its roomy, but not huge. It only takes up one parking space and i can reverse easily and see out all of the windows clearly. The controls are great I feel like i am sitting a BMW truck.

I love it - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON
By LEE G - March 4 - 4:13 amI have owned many cars during my life and a number of SUVS and I am happiest with this one. I have had a few Toyota RAV 4s and even an RX300 Lexus and this is the best of the bunch and equal to the Lexus for a lot less money. This vehicle rides and handles great and I think Hyundai really thought this one out before releasing it. This is my first Hyundai but I assure you it will not be my last.

Great all round SUV - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON
By MP538 - March 1 - 2:50 pmI like the Tucson. Have 33K on it and have not had a single mechanical problem. Stock tires gave out at 25K. Excellent in wet weather and snow- better than my GMC Yukon. Great for my wife since the 4x4 just kicks in when needed. Average 22mpg, best I ever got was 25mpg on a trip. Comfortable for short trips and long ones also. Took on a 1500 mile trip to Canada- did great. Would recommend.

Makeup in the dark? - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON
By Terry - February 26 - 6:13 pmWhat I really miss is lighted vanity mirrors. Also, I was told that my vehicle had a better cabin filtration system than my 2002 Honda Accord (which had a Hepa filter). When I started sneezing and detecting a strage smell, inside my Tucson, I had my husband check the filter.....SURPRISE...The slot was there, behind the glovebox, but there was no filter! The dealer ordered one for me and then tried to charge me $90.00 to install it. The gas milage is also not good. This baby is cute but rather expensive to maintain.

2005 Hyundai Tucson - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON
By Bob - January 25 - 6:26 pmCompletely satisfied with this vehicle. Road performance - Excellent Looks - Different than the average SUV. Stands out. Mileage not as good as desired. But, everything else about this vehicle makes up for more than that. This vehicle lets me be completely in control. My first SUV was a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe. Fell in live with this make the first day I sat behind the wheel after purchase. I would never consider another make or model.

Best Compact SUV - 2005 Hyundai TUCSON
By Jim - December 6 - 4:33 pmThe Tucson is the best compact SUV Ive driven, and I tested the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and the Jeep Liberty. While not a sports car by any means, there is adequate power with the GLS 2.7 engine. Im getting about 20mpg on mixed highway/city driving...not to bad for the first couple of tank fulls! Cargo room with back seats up is adequate. I think Hyundai has a real winner with this car.
