Front End Troubles - 2005 Honda Civic
By Dan Polson - November 28 - 7:19 pmFun to drive. Most of my driving is on winding country roads. At 88,000 had to have driver side hub bearing replaced. At 96,000 had to have driver side CV joint replaced

Fine Car - 2005 Honda Civic
By jsavage21 - November 18 - 5:20 amThe main things that have impressed me so far with my honda is the interior design. It is superb, especially for a vehicle in this price range. The performance also is good and makes this car fun to drive. I am not hot about the exterior design, but its handling and interior make up for it. Improvements: Widen the Body design, include a better sound system, add disc brakes and remote trunk entry. (which they have done to some extent with the 2006) I would recommend this vehicle based on my experience so far-Honda does hold up to its reputation for building cars that are fun to drive, display attention to quality and detail and reliable.

A great cheap car. - 2005 Honda Civic
By rkane - November 17 - 7:46 pmThis car is overall a great value. The transmission grinds in 2nd gear, and if I werent over 6 feet tall, I probably would not like the positioning of the 5 speed. Why does it not have 6? The new 2006 blows the doors off the 05. Honda may be losing their quality if you ask me ( I am a salesman myself ). Overall I would rate this car a 6.8 out of 10. The interior is pretty nice, just the exterior makes it pretty feminine.

Great Small Car! - 2005 Honda Civic
By Acme858 - November 15 - 2:00 amThis is a fantastic car. Beautiful inside and outside: clean, simple, and effective. The control is nice and tight and the transmission, even for an automatic, is very smooth--both typical of Hondas. The EX model comes very well equipped with sunroof, 127 hp, alloy wheels, 6 speakers, CD player, ABS and a myriad of little things that make the entire car worthwhile. Gas mileage is great: 31 City, 37 Highway. I got the car perfectly content without any of the dealer installed options like foglights and interior trims. The foglights would be nice but the installation fees are absurdly high.

Best In Class for The Money - 2005 Honda Civic
By Joe McCain - November 13 - 8:52 pmThis car is incredible. Bought it new in late 2004. 5 speed with 112,000 miles and I still get 36-39 mpg. Super stereo and rides good. Perfect for commuting. Will go 80 + mph easy on highway with no problems. Interior finishes are good and car can handles four (regular sized) adults. Have had NO problems at all. Its my fourth Honda and I am convinced, for the money, Honda is the leader in the value / mileage category. Reliable / quality... this small car has it all.

A Fantastic "Little" Car! - 2005 Honda Civic
By Unkabunca68 - November 6 - 3:40 pmIm a bit biased (a loyal Honda customer, this is my 3rd Civic), but this is an overall great car! Was a little apprehensive about paying +$3000 more than a standard Civic, but it was well worth it! Mileage isnt quite what I had expected -- Im averaging about 40mpg -- but at 425-475 miles per tank, I wont complain! Acceleration is better than expected .. I was told it couldnt get out of its own way ... its a little slow to start, but but holds its own at highway speeds. Handles very well for a light-weight car. Maintenance is a little more expensive. Engine requires 0W20 motor oil, which is pricey. Love the real- time mpg calculator and auto-shut off feature. Id buy again!

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAA BUD!!! - 2005 Honda Civic
By Miguel - October 24 - 11:53 pmThis is the car for people who need to get around and dont need to carry a lot of stuff with them. The little engine is competent, esp. with the 5 sp manual. The EX has everything you could ask for in a $15K car. Can be fun to drive, if you push it. Seats can get a little stiff after 300 miles or so. I say get one!! A great car!!!

Time for another Hybrid - 2005 Honda Civic
By Rick W - October 14 - 6:39 amHave had a lot of fun with this car. Driving is fun and playful. I have figured that traveling East to West I gain 10% on mileage because of the winds generally from the West. I have gotten up to 52 mpg on the NYS Thruway eastbound and 48 westbound. Drops to 46 mpg going through the Berkshires. Lots of pep and pickup. Surprised my wife on its passing capability.
