This car is excellent, the pickup is great, gets about 30 miles to the gallon. And with current gas prices, thats excellent! Im at 56,000 miles and had to replace tires and a battery - thats all! I am looking forward to another great year from my Civic.

I love to drive this car. The ride is very good for a small car and the gas mileage is excellent, 32 in town and 38 miles to the gallon on the road. Also very little noise on the inside.

My Honda Civic VP is a very reliable vehicle. It gets great gas mileage, up to 40 mph by my estimates. I drive 70 miles roundtrip daily for work and we use this car for every trip around town and out of state. Weve never had a problem.

If you want a fun reliable car this isit with no doubt. I love the car and am a huge fan of it. There are a few issues to be aware of before you buy. I have had mine for a couple of months and it doesnt like going into reverse sometimes and the driver window neededto be tightened. The cup holders are great (even the one by the drivers window). There isnt very much storage space and the little place near the drivers shin will hold CDs w/o the cases but not with them and they fall out when you accelerate. There is no armrest but you wont want to take you hand off of the shifter long enough to rest your arm. In a nutshell this car is fantastic to drive and I do not regret buying mine!

I drive a Civic out of choice, not necessity, I am disappointed that leather was not offered as an option. I had to order it as a custom item. Also, I would like to see automatic turn off of lights in the future. You wouldnt believe how many times Ive run my battery down. Wish Id opted for MP3 compatibility--was it an option? The mileage has not yet reached the advertised levels, but perhaps its not yet fully broken in. During the recent high fuel price crunch, I was not complaining about my 38-41 mpg performance, but to date I have not reached the optimum 47/49 mpg. Overall, I have been very pleased with this car.

  • The worst car I ever owned - 2005 Honda Civic

You have heard about the Honda Civic lasting forever... think again. This has been the worst car I have ever purchased. My problems all began when I had to take the vehicle to get the rotors resurfaced at 7800 miles. They told me it was because of wear-and-tear. BULL. I had to replace the rotors three times w/in 50000 miles. I had to get the carpet inside replaced twice because it was getting a hole under the clutch because there was a piece of metal underneath that was not smooth. I also had to replace the button and locking mechanism for the lever that opens the trunk and the gas cap. That happened twice. The worst was when I tried to unlock it and the whole thing came out.

  • Love my Honda - 2005 Honda Civic

I just bought the car this month and I love it! It handles great, is a blast to drive, love the 5 spd. The ride is very smooth. I drive 80 miles round trip to work and still only fill up once a week, but Im realizing I get better gas mileage on higher octane fuel and I only use shell or sunoco. I had a 90 Civic Si which was an awesome car but so far I like my 05 better. It picks up when I need it to with no problem and still has plenty of power when running the a/c. Hondas are awesome cars I highly recomend them.

  • New Si is fun! - 2005 Honda Civic

I wanted a vehicle I could move some band equipment around in but still be sporty and great on gas...SI is fantastic! Very quick, suspension is sporty, steering is tight and leaves you feeling like you are driving a race car not an economy car. My only complaints are it is a little high priced for other vehicles in its class and the Honda Factory Performance kit is very cool but way overpriced...

  • Dont buy if you live in cold climate. - 2005 Honda Civic

Everything is great about this car, except the climate control. I love the car, but the "heat" and a/c are very lame. It gets great gas mileage and easily holds 75 mph on the interstate. Fortunately not too much has gone wrong.

  • a breath of fresh air - 2005 Honda Civic

After a long, arduous, and often annoying relationship with various Mazdas, my 2005 Honda Civic EX truly is a wonderfully positive change. Peppy acceleration, agile handling, and a serenely quiet ride make me endlessly happy I chose this car. Even friends in the backseat can ride comfortably and the chrome accents on the dash catch their eyes. This was my first new car and I could not have made a better decision. I look forward to driving this car for years.
