i purchased my 2nd crv from this dealership my first one was 98 and compare to the older crv, this new has improved has termendously. My wife drives it mostly and i had taken small trips in this vehicle as well currently i own a lexus ls 400 and i believe price and performance wise this suv is the perfect fit for us. i looked at several suv`s before making purchase we currntly own 2 other suv`s as well which are ml and explorer but price and performance and most important resale value is the key decision making factor for me and my wife. i hope this will help you with your future purchase of suv, benifit from my research while you are in the market.

  • RATTLE NOISE - 2005 Honda CR-V
    By -

I love my CR-V a lot. I feel safe in it. The only problem I have is with my back window (hatch). No matter how tight I close (or slam) it, its seems to make noise as Im driving down the road. I have to turn my radio up just to not hear it, but that doesnt get rid of the fact that its there. In looking at the design of the window, I would think there would be some rubber padding or something between the window and how it attaches. Maybe that is why its rattling. Dealer said its as tight as it will go. Also pulls to the right on acceleration like previous posts stated. Dealer said front wheel drives do that. Right wheel is the power wheel and is the reason it pulls? Still love it.

  • DONT BUY A HONDA! - 2005 Honda CR-V
    By -

Both the front and rear suspension are defective and make strange popping and knocking noises. This started after only a month after I bought the car brand new. AND after about 8000 miles, I started hearing gas moving around in the back of the car right after I fill the tank. It’s been to the dealer almost a dozen times and they can’t fix it. They say the gas sloshing noise is normal!!! Honda refuses to give my money back. Customer service stinks – after talking to me for 6 months, the rep has tried to blame every complaint on me or my driving and can’t even pronounce my name correctly. DONT BUY FROM HONDA!

  • Excellent around town car - 2005 Honda CR-V
    By -

I have had the CRV for about 9 months, I have a little over 12,000 miles on it. I find it is an excellent around the town car. I use the speed control quite a bit and I am getting between 26-27 MPG. I traded in (up) from my del Sol which got better mileage, and Im not sorry. I can take 3-4 people with me, now.

  • Great Car Lousy Tires - 2005 Honda CR-V

I was surprised to find good power and handling with this small vehicle. I hope it will have a better resale value. My local dealer balanced the tires twice but I still find going over 60 mph is noisy and rough. Equipped with bridgestone duellers.

  • A little disappointed in my Honda - 2005 Honda CR-V
    By -

After putting up with my Olds Alero for 3 years I wanted to move into a Honda for reliability/refinement reasons. Im quite disappointed overall. My CR-V drives pretty nicely for a small SUV and meets most expectations, but Ive come away very sorry I bought it for a couple of reasons. Most importantly is ride quality, which is just terrible. Im amazed nobody mentions this, as my CR-V is the worst riding vehicle Iv ever owned. With correct tire pressure this vehicle is brutally stiff over expansion joints and road irregularites. Typical interstate travel feels like driving on braile. Also, Ive found the build quality to be un-Honda like. At only 5K miles I have 4 loud/constant rattles.

  • LOVE IT LOVE IT - 2005 Honda CR-V

I love this car. After researching lots of SUVs I decided on the V & am happy with my decision. I had a corolla & wanted a RAV to stay w/toyota but after driving both there was no comparision & got the V. After 6 mos I still love it. Im disappointed w/gas mileage Ive been getting 18-20 I did get one trip of 25 straight hwy driving. Its a comfy ride & has good get up&go. The only dislikes I have are the mileage which is lower than advertised & that I cant lock the car with the doors open. Its pain to have keys in my hand along with other things instead of being able to lock it first & put keys in my purse & have more hands. Ive left my car unlocked several times accidently due to this

  • My 05 CR-V EX Fits All My Needs and Why - 2005 Honda CR-V
    By -

I could not be happier with my 05 Honda CR-V EX (5 speed auto/AWD). The 4 cyl is very peppy. Because of plenty of low speed torque it beats most of the V-6s I drove. This 4 cyl is very responsive and fun to drive. Others are too truck like for me. I love the look both inside and out. The interior is very plush above the rest. It beats all the compact sized SUVs in cargo and personal roominess. Consider it Mid-sized. For my use,I just want dependable transportation in bad weather and a snappy fun car-like ride, but with the looks and height of a SUV. It is all this in an affordable package that gets high gas mileage and will retain a high resale value Its a HONDA!

  • Love the CR-V, hate the gas mileage - 2005 Honda CR-V
    By -

I love my CR-V. Its fun to drive, accelerates well, and is GREAT for hauling. Those seats flip so quick, and it allows for MEGA cargo space. I have two problems, one the gas mileage is not so great and two, the trunk light indicator has been a problem since I bought the car. It constatly comes on, even when Ive slammed the trunk to the point where my teeth rattle. Ive taken it to the dealer twice now. Not sure if this is just my car, or a problem with the model year. Hopefully this is now resolved. Otherwise, I love my CR-V. Its nice being off the ground. Oh yeah, great sound system too.

My 2005 CRV is a reasonably economical car and a pleasure to drive. Having a family, I place safety and reliability ahead of looks and comfort, but the CRV is, for its price, excellent in all these areas.
