Overview & Reviews
The F-150 is fully redesigned for 2004. It's bigger, more powerful and offers a greater variety of features and body styles than ever before.
- Exceptional ride and handling characteristics, attractive and functional interior designs, multiple cab and bed configurations, most payload and towing capacity in the half-ton class.
- Feels sluggish even with larger V8, no available side airbags, not much interior storage space.

Opinion of the new Ford F150 - 2004 Ford F-150
By Zane Siminoe - February 27 - 2:00 amWe have driven Fords for years. The new 2004 seems to have gone backwards as far as interior design comfort. The back seats are very uncomfortable for an adult. Location of cupholders and info such as outside temp indicator is difficult to see. The new box is too deep, making it difficult to retrieve items without opening the tailgate.

Love Hate - 2004 Ford F-150
By tripht - February 10 - 11:50 pmI am a fan of Ford and I do enjoy my F150. However there has been some short cuts in the engineering of this truck. Ive had issues with the window motors, warped exhaust manifolds, replacing brake rotors after 42K and the rear end binding around corners. However Ive towed my boat from Seattle to Page, AZ and back with no problems.

New Ford Owner - 2004 Ford F-150
By nutz1017 - January 5 - 10:00 amI used to drive a Maxima, but found it to be less than practical. I needed a truck so I got the F-150, and its pretty sweet. The power is sufficient for me, lots of cargo capacity, exterior styling is the best and the interior is deluxe. I had always thought Chevy had Fisher Price interior styling. I did consider the Titan but wasnt happy with my last Nissan expeince, so I went with Ford. I do notice some vibration/shaking when driving at 65MPH. Maybe its poorly balanced tires or just a tight suspension. Ill have it checked out.

Quality is an Issue - 2004 Ford F-150
By FormerFordLover - November 7 - 7:28 amI bought this truck new and get lots of compliments on its looks. Almost 4 years and 37,000 miles, but plenty of issues. After having water leaking around the top of my rear window, and almost having it replaced, the guy who was working on it said, "I used to work at a Ford Dealer, and it isnt the window, it is the cargo lamp gasket". I then called a dealer to find out that you cant buy a gasket, only the complete unit for $54. I also have a problem with the outside mirror remote not working. Turns out the fuse box has a break in it somewhere and needs to be replaced, another $278 for the part. A few months ago, the drivers side window stopped working..$450 more.

2004 F150 SuperCrew - 2004 Ford F-150
By Jcghill - August 29 - 10:00 amBeautiful truck!!! Rides very smooth almost like a sedan. Upgraded from 1998 F150 Supercab and there is no comparison on the interior design. Very roomy and comfortable back seat. Our two year old now has plenty of room in the backseat and Im not being kicked all the time. The leather seats are also much softer than in previous model. I would definately buy this vehicle again.

My Truck - 2004 Ford F-150
By jdevonshire - July 2 - 1:20 amThe truck has more bells and whistles than I was looking for but the price was good. I enjoy the feel and comfort of the ride but now would perfer to have four doors instead of the door and a half setup.

My dream truck! - 2004 Ford F-150
By Alisa - June 16 - 2:00 amAwesome ride. Smooth, quiet, powerful... rides like a luxury car, pulls everything- boat, trailer, camper...The height provides great visibility and clearance of obstacles in the road. 4x4 for adventures and SAFETY is a must in the rugged Northwest.

Pig On Gas - 2004 Ford F-150
By DaveN - March 22 - 2:33 amI bought this truck in Feb 05. I like everything about it. Great looks, style, ride and comfort. However the gas mileage is terrible. Its rated @ 15 city and 19 hwy. I got an average between 12 and 13 mpg until summer and using the A/C. I now average 11 to 11.5. Living in South FL with high gas prices this was a terrible choice for me. If fuel economy is a concern dont buy this truck. If style, ride and comfort are whats most important this is the truck to buy. Im trading it in this weekend for a Honda CR-V and 24 mpg.
