Overview & Reviews
For 2004, Chevrolet has dropped the high-line LTZ trim level. Power-adjustable pedals, a DVD-based navigation system, automatically locking doors and XM Satellite Radio are new features this year. The instrument panel now sports a freshened monochromatic look. The North Face Edition package gets unique 17-inch wheels, while all models get new 17-inch aluminum wheels.
- Strong engine performance, comfortable highway ride, extensive features list, user-friendly controls.
- Skittish handling around corners, numb steering, generic interior design, low-grade interior materials.

Fun all over - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By gadawgs21 - November 16 - 2:00 amIve had my Trailblazer for 4 months and have loved every minutes of it! It drives well, handles beautifully and I love the get-up-and-go. The staff at Yeomans was wonderful in helping me buy my first car by myself. I like the interior much more than the Envoys my friends have, more cupholders, better location of back windshield wipers and better console.

Good Family SUV - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By jvolk - October 16 - 10:00 amRides great on Highway even with 6-7 passengers. ^ adults can travel in comfort. AC trouble 3 times but may be finally fixed with new switch design from GM. Disappointing fuel mileage put I guess the 270 HP engines is the reason. We get about 12 in town and 18 on highway. Excellent large family hauler if you dont want the larger suburban.

Review - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By Ken - October 4 - 10:54 amI love my trailblazer. I am a drummer and have to haul my equipment every weekend. I traded down from a 99 Suburban and was concerned about the loss in space but the TB turned out to be fine. Handles well and Im proud to say the engine light has only came on once because of a faulty gas cap.

2004 Trail Blazer - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Aesthetically pleasing; Great for talls - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By Freedm - September 30 - 10:00 amI was smitten by the exterior look of my white with black trim, Trailblazer LT. The interior dark gray coloring complements the black leather seats very well. As a 62 tall person their is enough room for my legs, even as a front seat passenger unlike my 2002 Blazer LS that is very cramped for a tall front seat passenger. The ride is smooth, and quiet. during the first long trip, 354.4 miles, the truck averaged 18.3 miles a gallon. Not bad for a combination of open road, and back country maneuvering.

WARNING - TRANSMISSION - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By April - September 16 - 8:58 pmEverything was going great, then at 58,000 miles the line that feeds the transmission fluid rusted out. Dealer said they stock those lines like they stock oil filters because its such a common problem. It just wouldnt go one day, my choice to spend $4000 to fix it, or send it to the auction and hope to get as much of the $5800 I owe. Auction it is, meanwhile Im stranded, and it was just a baby. Oh yeah, no trade in value.

Great to drive, stinks to fix - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
By KC - September 13 - 11:59 amWe bought this used in 2006. It had 24000 miles on it, ran great, and just enough room for our family of 3 at the time. Over all, the SUV worked great for the first year. Then small things started to happen more and more. First we had to replace our brand new breaks/rotors only after a year 1/2. Second the trunk hatch went out and had to replace that, third our back windshield wiper broke. ($1200 to fix this alone) We also, only after a year of replacing the first set, have to replace our rotors yet again. Something is wrong with the front end, never in a crash, so we are just trading this in this weekend. Last children in car seats dont have leg room from the front/back seat.

By S.E. DUVALL - September 4 - 10:00 amI TRADED IN A GRAND CHEROKKE LIMITED ON THIS TRAILBLAZER, IT SURE FEELS GOOD TO GET BACK INTO A CHEVY. NOTHING BEATS THE PERFORMANCE OR RIDE OF THIS SUV. I AM VERY IMPRESSED!
