This Year's Model Updates:

For 2004, Chevrolet has dropped the high-line LTZ trim level. Power-adjustable pedals, a DVD-based navigation system, automatically locking doors and XM Satellite Radio are new features this year. The instrument panel now sports a freshened monochromatic look. The North Face Edition package gets unique 17-inch wheels, while all models get new 17-inch aluminum wheels.

Pros:
  • Strong engine performance, comfortable highway ride, extensive features list, user-friendly controls.
Cons:
  • Skittish handling around corners, numb steering, generic interior design, low-grade interior materials.

This is the second Blazer ive owned. This Blazer rides better than my 97 lumina. On the highway it has plenty of power and its like you are floating on air.It is a little heavy on gas but its worth it.

I had this vehicles as a rental in september. i orignally owned a 1994 blazer loved the way it drove and whe i got behind the wheel of this i feel in love. Going down I-95 was a joyy. comfortable, smooth ride and great gasmilage compared to my 94 blazer. I bbrought my car about a month ago and i am still loving it. everyday it gets better cant wait till the summer so the kids can enjoy the dvd screen going to the beach what a relief this will be. i also added a second dvd player for the third row.

Love the design and handling characteristics. Has many useful features and is solidly built. Interior is equal to or better than most of the SUVs I drove. Controls are easy to access and it rides great for a truck. On Star is a must for the safety conscious. Looks much better than the the crossover stationwagons. Looks like a true SUV.

love the trailblazer, had a 2002 and it was not as good as this one. the only thing I dont like is the brakes, there is a squishy feel in the pedal. I have 6100 miles and it was fine until about 5500 miles. very comfortable ride, engine responsive and great sound system. lots of cool creature comforts

  • Still Going Strong - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Four and a half years later, still going strong. Pick up from a stop is acceptable and very impressive acceleration in the higher RPM range. Front leather seats have very little side support during turns. Ride is smooth and confortable but road feel in the steering is lacking. In 4 1/2 years the problems have been: Right front wheel bearing went bad, replaced hub and bearing, wire harness at right headlight melted, a new pig tail was installed, memory for driver 2 with all its settings are lost then reappear the next time the vehicle is used, stopped at a traffic light, engine cuts off and the check gauges light comes on, engine will restart fine and the warning light goes off. Lots of ghosts.

i brought a 2002 trailblazer brand new after having it for a month i started having electrical problems with it .it all started with tail lights blowing out and then the problem started to get worse where all running lights, brake lights and headlights went out.after bring it back to dealership 24 times within a 5 month period i filed under the lemon law and won but after paying over 30,000 for it and was only able to drive it part time because it was always back at dealer i was never able to really enjoy it they told me they know it has problems but they wont recall nothing on it because it will cost them to much money to fix the problems

  • I love my new Trailblazer!!! - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Ive wanted to buy an SUV for the past 5 years and I finally found one that I absolutely love. I have a 2003 Trailblazer LT (4wd, 4 door). I purchased it in 8/03 and so far I have approximately 3700 miles on it. We have had a rough winter on Long Island so far this year and I felt very safe driving my SUV in the snow. Its got a great ride and is very comfortable. Ive always owned small to mid-sized cars. Ill probably never buy a car again!
