This Year's Model Updates:

For 2004, Chevrolet has dropped the high-line LTZ trim level. Power-adjustable pedals, a DVD-based navigation system, automatically locking doors and XM Satellite Radio are new features this year. The instrument panel now sports a freshened monochromatic look. The North Face Edition package gets unique 17-inch wheels, while all models get new 17-inch aluminum wheels.

Pros:
  • Strong engine performance, comfortable highway ride, extensive features list, user-friendly controls.
Cons:
  • Skittish handling around corners, numb steering, generic interior design, low-grade interior materials.

  • Nice - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Pretty good mpg for a V6. But not a lot of go on the road, but more then enought in mud and water. Hugs corners awesome for an suv, and only handles better off road. Very stylish extior and very comfortable interior. Nothing has really gave out on me either, it was a well investment.

It handles well in curves. I use to own a toyota 4runner but this vehicle handles better. I also like it being lower to the ground not so top heavy

This is my second TB so obviously its a dependable car. We use it for hauling a boat and it works very well. I did find it more difficult to steer than the 2002 model and returned for an adjustment. There isnt one. The exterior and interior is rather plain. It only gets about 18 mpg in the city and at best 21 on the highway.

  • Not a bad SUV, just bad timing - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

I purchased my 2004 TrailBlazer around a year ago and have put around 14,000 on it since. As of 43,000 miles there have been no real problems thus far. The engine I find is perfectly powered to deal with towing boats, trail riding, and on-ramp acceleration. I have only two complaints the 8" ground clearance when I am on trails or the beach (my girlfriends Rav 4 sits higher) and the whopping 18mpg on the highway. At $4.20 a gallon where I live its a beast keeping the tank full. As far as cornering, its an SUV. What can you really expect.

  • Love it almost - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Love this vehicle in everyway except have had numerous problems with transmission. Would recommend this vehicle but Chevy needs to improve the transmission design.

  • Wonderful SUV! - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

This is my first purchase of an suv. My mother has owned three blazers. All of which I loved. When I finally purchased mine I was excited. I have a four year old son and we travel a lot of miles. It has been very comfortable to travel in. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone. After owning this one I only want to go bigger!

  • A wonderful choice - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

I purchased my Trailblazer a month ago after much research and contemplation on just the right new car. My husband and I chose the trailblazer both for its looks as well as its reliability and quality in performance. I have not regretted our choice even once. I feel much safer in my trailblazer and enjoy every moment in it!I recommend the Trailblazer without any qualms.

  • Better Quality - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Have had TrailBlazer for almost 2 years. Have had it in the shop 3 times and is heading back for service 4 wheel drive light is on and I have not used the 4 wheel drive for 3 months. The interior is pretty cheap and the middle arm rest is squeaky when you rest your arm on it. The mpgs I get are about 16/17. When you fill up, gas always spills out at the end. Have always bought GM vehicles and this will be the last one I buy.

  • So Far So Good - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

This SUV doesnt have the same impulse as my Jeep Sport but it could be that Im still getting used to it. It didnt come with the windows tinted so I did that right away. It is easy and so far very good. It is not, however, inexpensive when it comes to gas mileage.

  • So far so good - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

I use it to tow my 2500 lb. boat and have no complaints with its capabilities. Not the most high- quality interior ever built but solid, tho a bit cheap sounding. Rear seat is cramped with car seats (I am 62"). Rear hatch lacks rigidity and I fear will become more loose and problematic. Quiet, smooth ride and powerful engine/drivetrain combo. Still, sometimes, the shift from R to D gets lost and takes longer than necessary to engage-this feels sloppy.
