This Year's Model Updates:

For 2004, Chevrolet has dropped the high-line LTZ trim level. Power-adjustable pedals, a DVD-based navigation system, automatically locking doors and XM Satellite Radio are new features this year. The instrument panel now sports a freshened monochromatic look. The North Face Edition package gets unique 17-inch wheels, while all models get new 17-inch aluminum wheels.

Pros:
  • Strong engine performance, comfortable highway ride, extensive features list, user-friendly controls.
Cons:
  • Skittish handling around corners, numb steering, generic interior design, low-grade interior materials.

  • Chevy has come a long way. - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Since I have had my TrailBlazer I have had few problems. Vehicle has required only routine service. I am pleased with many things with my vehicle however it does leave things to be desired. This will be my last American made vehicle since the thing is only worth a fraction of what I paid for it considering it is in perfect used condition. This vehicle is built more like a 2000 then a 2004 lacking features other SUVs of the same year offer. The engine could have been a little more refined with a lot more power and better fuel economy. I was recently looking at the new 2008 TrailBlazer and Chevy has made some great improvements.

Ive had this suv for a while now, and with 15,000 miles it has been a great car. You will have no problems beating anybody at an intersection, this suv keeps up w/ audis and bmws! Everything is perfect on it, best suv for the money ever!!!

There is no other suv in its class that has the horsepower and fun to drive feature. When I first brought my wife thought it would be hard for her to drive since all she every had was small cars. She would not trade it in for the world. Also she came from a ford family and I have comverted her. HA HA HA

I have owned my TrailBlazer for a few months now and have had no problems to this day. The vehicle is great on trips and in the snow. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone.

Radio Not Working At Delivery, Leaking Oil At 2000 Miles, Differential Seal Leaking, Repaired By Dealer, Leaking Again Next Day, Dealer Replaced Differential, 2500 miles, Heavy Banging From Front End, Stabilizer Coming Loose, Radio Went Dead Again, Air conditioning Giving Out Chemical Odor, All Repaired By Dealer, Doesnt Meet Chevrolet Criteria For Replacement with a new truck? This Is A Classic LEMON!!!

  • Just bought another one! - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Bought a new 2002 TB in Nov 01, and liked it so much, I bought a 2004 TB yesterday. Had a few leaks with 02 (front struts and a very slow cranckshaft seal)which dealer fixed. Otherwise no problems. Also own a 98 Expedition. TB is much easierr to handle in the city vs. Expy. Gas mileage could be better, but both 02 and 04 TBs are extremely smooth and quiet.

  • Love my 2004 Trailblazer - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

Just bought a new 2004 LS after 3 years of a Durango. List $31,600... cash price after incentives: $24,500. Love its drive, much smoother than Durango. Disagree with Edmunds criticism of steering. Very handsome and comfortable. Mileage much better than Durango, pickup very sufficient... nice to be back to 6 cylindars with gas so high. Size, drive and handling perfect. Got Burgundy color and compliments on its appearance. Good tight vehicle with feel of reliability.

  • Dont buy a trailblazer - 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

I do not recommend this vehicle. I have had nothing but problems with it. I have issues with the headlights dimming when I apply the brakes, the buttons on the radio have chipped off, the leather seats were worn after about 4 months, as well as weather stripping problems and turn signal malfunctions. Just to name a few of the problems.Eventhough I had an extended warranty, GM found reasons to cover none of my problems. I wanted an SUV and was excited when I bought this one as I thought I was buying a vehicle that I would love and drive for many years. Now Im just looking forward to the day that I can trade it in for something else and not have to roll negative equity into my next vehicle.
