This Year's Model Updates:

The BMW 3 Series sedan and wagon have been completely redesigned for 2006. Major highlights include new features, more powerful engines, a slightly larger interior and the incorporation of BMW's latest exterior styling elements. The 3 Series coupe and convertible are unchanged this year but will eventually move over to the new platform being used for the sedan and wagon; expect to see a new hardtop convertible for the 2008 model year.

Pros:
  • Still the standard when it comes to perfectly sorted vehicle dynamics, high-quality interior materials, wide range of configurations to suit any style, available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
Cons:
  • Still costs more than most of its competitors, lacking in interior storage space.

  • Quality for Performance - 2006 BMW 3-Series

This vehicle is in true sense a drivers car. It shows its perfection during turning, braking and aggressive maneuvering. I like auto-learning transmission, rain-sensing wipers and Harmon Kardon speaker system, among many of its features.

Handles very well and looks great. Not as fast off the line as Id like for the money. Looking into aftermarket parts to fill the gap here. Still more fun to drive than most competitors. Not the best value in its class (G35) but its worth it if you can spare the extra change. Test drove a WRX STI just for fun - if you could put that motor in the 330i, youd have the worlds most perfect car.

  • Beautiful Bimmer - 2006 BMW 3-Series

I used to have the 2001 325i and that was a joy to drive. This years redesign is even better. It corners beautifully and it has the right amount of power and it looks stylistic. Its a little pricier than other sedans in the same class but its well worth it when you look at the performance, build quality, and handling.

  • 325 ci Convertible - Awesome Car - 2006 BMW 3-Series

I cant tell you how happy I am with this car. The quality of the build and handling are superior. The driver and passenger seats are a little cramped for long road trips, but acceptable for day drives and cruising. Ive owned the car for two years and about 18,000 miles - NO issues to date (except for my aftermarket iPod cable which I needed to replace because it shorted out, but BMW took are of that for me). While I like my ragtop, I am looking to move to the new 330 hardtop convertible probably in a year or two. I highly recommend this car - its a pleasure to own and to drive!

  • The Best Car I ever Owned - 2006 BMW 3-Series

As of 20000 miles there are virtually no negatives other than a minor computer glitch when I first purchased the car. Well worth the price. Excellent in all categories

This 330xi is amazing. Quality is superb. I know not all folks have had good experience but this car handles out of this world. Suspension, brakes, etc. Highly recommend this jewel! RFTs? Hmm, still not sure Im a fan but so far, so good!

  • Fun to Ride - 2006 BMW 3-Series

This is car is a pleasure to drive. It handles well in the corners. Get the 330. If you have the extra cash then spend it on the best automobile. This car inspires confidence in the corner.

  • Good times - 2006 BMW 3-Series

300i w/Sport and Premium packages = a winning combination of four door utility and near perfect handling. Run-flats will prove harsh for some, spot on for others. Rides on the stiff side of things - immense fun if expected behavior. Not a car for Lexus fans. Surprisingly good bluetooth integration, down to phones address book access. Sport seats are unrivaled among comparable vehicles, as well as many more expensive types in support, comfort and perfect proportions for an average person.

Fuel economy exceeded my expectations. 35+ on highway. 19 in the city. Plenty of pep.

  • very disappointed - 2006 BMW 3-Series

this is my third 3 series... previously drove a 2000 323i and 2003 325ci. One half mile from the dealership on the day I took delivery the bluetooth became inoperable. works intermittenly. the car just spent 15 days in the dealership trying to fix this-- still not right. car also shimmys at 70 mph.. bmw knows there is a problem --- they are looking into. dont buy a car the first year of a major re-do. wait for the kinks to be ironed out.
