Overview & Reviews
The BMW 3 Series sedan and wagon have been completely redesigned for 2006. Major highlights include new features, more powerful engines, a slightly larger interior and the incorporation of BMW's latest exterior styling elements. The 3 Series coupe and convertible are unchanged this year but will eventually move over to the new platform being used for the sedan and wagon; expect to see a new hardtop convertible for the 2008 model year.
- Still the standard when it comes to perfectly sorted vehicle dynamics, high-quality interior materials, wide range of configurations to suit any style, available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
- Still costs more than most of its competitors, lacking in interior storage space.

BMW = Been My Worst! - 2006 BMW 3-Series
By amystical1 - August 2 - 10:07 amI wish I had nothing but rave reviews on this car and that I have had an enjoyable experience owning the 325i, but unfortunately I dont. I purchased the 325i as a CPO with the extended warranty/maintenance and road hazard for the tires. I am so glad I did because it was heavily used. The service people know me by first name here in Houston and that is not good. I go there on schedule with some sort of issue every other month. I have lost time from work and weekend days having to take it to the dealership for service and I have spent my patience with the BMW brand above and beyond what I should have. I regret purchasing this car & now I have anxiety attacks driving it. Im done w/it!

Worst car ever - 2006 BMW 3-Series
By scott - June 24 - 8:33 pmPurchased car new. I had nothing but problems. Engine needed all new lifters. Dealership fixed it, but then the engine started making other noises. Care was in shop for 24+ days. Dealer bought back car and had given a deal on a new 2007. That one lasted about 10,000 miles before I traded it in. It has front end issues and kept destroying the tires.

Buy an A4 Instead! - 2006 BMW 3-Series
By Kiely Jones - March 8 - 3:56 amI traded an 1998 Audi A4 2.8 on a new 2006 BMW 330i and boy golly, was it a mistake! These new Bridgestone run flats wear out right away. I had to replace my first one with less than 2000 miles on the car and it needs two more. I have to assume they are for decoration - they dont actually work as tires. They brag that they run flat, but so do rocks and I dont want those either. They are uncomfortable and they go bald right away - not covered by BMWs 100% maintenance coverage (should they maybe change that to 90ish%?)

Run-Flats No Good - 2006 BMW 3-Series
By JeffersonK - November 25 - 12:53 pmThe Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Run- Flat tires dont work with the 330i. In less than 6 months, Ive already had to have one replaced and now I need 2 more. The service center thought that there might be a braking problem or transmission problem that makes them wear out so fast, but it might just be the tires.
