This Year's Model Updates:

A six-speed SMG (Sequential Manual Gearbox) transmission is now optional on select 3 Series models, while a five-speed Steptronic automatic is now offered with the 330i Performance Package. Rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights and hands-free wireless cell phone capability are now standard features on the sedan and wagon. There are new alloy wheel designs for the 325i, 325xi and 330xi Sport Package. All 330i sedans get a revised grille -- a new black grille instead of silver, with a lower grille combination of body color and black. All 3 Series coupes and convertibles receive a revised front fascia, plus new front and rear bumper contours, Adaptive headlamps and taillights and new designs for both the standard and optional wheels. Interior changes are limited to a revised climate control panel. Finally, Sirius Satellite Radio is now available as an accessory on all 3 Series models.

Pros:
  • Available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
  • Luxurious, powerful, exceptional road manners
Cons:
  • Pricey for its market segment, limited rear-seat space and cargo capacity.

Cool car to drive because its BMW. Like the radio with the RDS and steering controls. The Seats suck. they are so uncomfortable.. no cushion just hard leather. Dont like it at all. Rain sensor does not always work that great. steptronic pointless. Too much money for a car with hardly no options. I have replaced all 4 tires within 6 mos. the slighest hard bump will make the tire blow and the rim bend

Our family loves this car. It is comfortable and looks great. The features the BMW comes with are outstanding. BMW is well worth the money.

  • Still the Sexiest Car on the Road - 2004 BMW 3-Series

It has been 4.5 years since I bought it and I still get excited every time I get behind the wheel. You can punch it through the sharpest of curves and fly up and down the steepest of hills will full confidence that this machine will exceed your expectations. Solid ride! Better thrill than a roller coaster! In fact, the other day, while resting at a stop sign after a fun filled heart pounding 10 minute joy ride thru the Connecticut countryside, I actually thought I heard the car mutter, “how’d I do?” Add on the fact that this is still the best looking car on the road and that it has the sweetest engine purr you will hear from a car in this class, I have myself a solid purchase!

  • Germans make better cars... - 2004 BMW 3-Series

I own a 2004 330i w/ performance package. These cars are truly amazing. Unsurpassed performance, elegant styling, reliable, & fun to drive. I drove many models before purchasing mine, I highly recommend the performance package. The power difference is huge, and the styling and standard equipment are worth the extra. I also recommend the manual 6 speed, makes driving and handling much more fun. BMW puts an amazing amount of feel and predictability in the drivers hands. No corners cut in the design and test phase, this car can run around town to get groceries or hold its own on the race track.

  • My ultimate driving machine - 2004 BMW 3-Series

I just retired for the service after 27 years and I purchased the 2004 325CI right before returning to the United States and this was by far my favorite car and I could not have purchase a better car for my money and retirement. I drove it in Italy and Germany and you know the speed limit over there is not really a problem. SO, I put the petal to the metal and I was in love. This is a wonderful and sporty car. I was surprise that the back seat was confortable since I really did not care for the back seat. I dont plan on having anyone seating in the back seat anyway :). But its was more confortable than the Z4.

  • LOVE MY BMW - 2004 BMW 3-Series

I wanted one and waited... and I am so glad I have it - no matter how difficult my day has been, I know the drive home will be fun and carefree. LOVE how it handles and responds. Did I say, I love it?

  • 3% better costs you 30% more. - 2004 BMW 3-Series

Japanese wannabes are either heavier (Newtons Laws will not be violated!) or less powerful. Im getting used to the SMG, and now I love it. I learned on US1 that youre glad you dont have to take your hand off the wheel to shift while passing on a 2-lane at 110+ w/ traffic coming! Proportions are spot-on. G35? Pulleeez! If you disagree, and cant feel the difference in the steering, save the 30%. Doors are long & heavy - you need to choreograph entry and exit. Valet parker white-lined it, but then lunched my left side wheels! Electric Red/Natural Brown; Sport and Prem. Pkgs., SMG, Xenons, 18" wheels.
