This Year's Model Updates:

A six-speed SMG (Sequential Manual Gearbox) transmission is now optional on select 3 Series models, while a five-speed Steptronic automatic is now offered with the 330i Performance Package. Rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlights and hands-free wireless cell phone capability are now standard features on the sedan and wagon. There are new alloy wheel designs for the 325i, 325xi and 330xi Sport Package. All 330i sedans get a revised grille -- a new black grille instead of silver, with a lower grille combination of body color and black. All 3 Series coupes and convertibles receive a revised front fascia, plus new front and rear bumper contours, Adaptive headlamps and taillights and new designs for both the standard and optional wheels. Interior changes are limited to a revised climate control panel. Finally, Sirius Satellite Radio is now available as an accessory on all 3 Series models.

Pros:
  • Available all-wheel drive for sedan and wagon.
  • Luxurious, powerful, exceptional road manners
Cons:
  • Pricey for its market segment, limited rear-seat space and cargo capacity.

  • The Perfect Car - 2004 BMW 3-Series

I have a bad habit of changing out cars every year. But when I found myself in my first 325, I knew that BMW was the company for me. I love these cars, they are amazing.

This car is a true drivers car. It is very fun to drive, has EXCELLENT handling. The engine is powerful and sounds very powerful, and the interior is very stylish and luxurious. This car is the perfect car for a mix between luxury, performance, and economy.

Just got my dream car. Been saving money for 3 years and it is worth it. Great power, ride, and comfort. I got the cold and sport package, with xenon adoptive light, and 18 inch tires. Great car to ride in sunny San Diego.

  • Love this Heavenly Car - 2004 BMW 3-Series

I love this car so much. It has increased the overall enjoyment of my life. It really has! I get happy when I drive it. It FEELS good... it FEELS good to drive... I mean it FEELS good to drive. There is no other way to say it. When I get pulled over by a cop, I feel like giving him the keys and saying, "Hey, YOU try driving this car under the speed limit! Go ahead!"

  • Performance Package Makes it Perfect! - 2004 BMW 3-Series

Ive owned this car for three years now, and there is nothing out there that can match the awesome driving experience of the 330i with Performance Package. The handling is perfect, virtually no understeer and great rotation through the corners. Clutch, shifter, and brakes are the best in class. Interior is laid out perfectly no frills, and very driver oriented... even better than the redesigned 3 Series. Have had no problems with the car except occasional oil consumption. Quality is outstanding, dealership experience is first-class, and this thing is built like a tank!

  • One word....WOW! - 2004 BMW 3-Series

You just have to drive this car to understand why people just gush about BMWs. Nobody does it like BMW. This is my second 3 Series, and Im just as blown away this time. This car is just a pleasure to drive. It handles perfectly, it has adequate power, its comfortable, and it is just flat solid as a rock. Its put together that well. No wonder the 3 Series continues to lead the sports sedan segment!

This has been a great BMW. This is my 2nd BMW. The other was a 5 speed 528I - 4 door. Both were dependable, great on gas...only bummer is they must run on Premium gas. The insurance is no more that it would be for a Honda.. That has always seemed odd to me. BMW keeps their basic body style for about 7 years. The best thing is to buy a used one. That makes it an affordable car to drive. Some people complain that an oil change is 80 bucks. So what...you only have to do it about every 10K miles. I have used 3 different BMW dealers in my area. Their customer service is unbelievable. If you can afford...but it.. NEver lease....

  • Many Improvements Needed - 2004 BMW 3-Series

Ti silver 04 330Ci with sport and premium packages and Al trim. PROS: Extremely fun to drive on any road! Smooth, sleek, beautiful and sexy exterior & interior. Plenty HP and torque. Tight suspension. Precision steering. CONS: Has issues cold starting in winter months. The climate control is not intuitive and doesnt remember to recirculate air. Too much wind noise at 70 MPH. Lifting seats will smash the back passengers feet. Insufficient leg room for rear passengers. Horrendous brake dust problems on wheels. Quirky electronics: trunk light flickers, OBC inaccurate. 60 cycle hum out of speakers on all 3 Series w/wo premium HK sound. 1 CD in-dash player w/o song repeat.

  • Amazing Car - 2004 BMW 3-Series

This is a truly amazing vehicle. It may sound like a cliche, but it truly is the perfect balance of performance, style, quality and luxury. The best car I have ever owned and one of the best I have ever driven.

  • Still In Love - 2004 BMW 3-Series

The car looks and drives great. The size is perfect for me. My boyfriend has even been offered phone numbers from women while he was out washing my car & NOT his Infiniti G35! Here are the issues Ive seen. Drivers door wont open when its raining. My "1-touch" sunroof wont close with 1 touch, I have to hold the button. Molding peels in South Florida heat. Trunk button in the car doesnt works. The biggest issue is the height of the car. I know it helps with stability & avoiding rollover but new & potential owners: ALWAYS BACK YOUR 3-SERIES IN WHEN THERE IS A CEMENT STOPPER! Its the only way to go. Ive replaced my front bumper cover twice.
