Overview & Reviews
The big news is the arrival of the A4 Cabriolet, a fetching drop-top version of the A4 sedan. Initially, the company will offer only one drivetrain choice -- front-wheel drive with the 3.0-liter V6 engine and continuously variable transmission. Expect to see a 1.8T version midway through the model year and a 3.0 quattro Cab by October 2003. No word yet on the possibility of a manual transmission. As if this weren't enough, Audi plans to release a coupe version of the A4 in early 2003. The rest of the A4 lineup benefits from equipment upgrades. Leather is now optional on all 1.8T models, as are 12-way power front seats. All 3.0s will come swathed in leather, with more deluxe leather optional. Previous stand-alone options for the 3.0, including xenons and satellite steering wheel controls, have been swept up into the Premium Package. A new cold weather package includes seat heaters and a ski sack, and 17-inch all-season tires are a stand-alone extra.
- Available all-wheel drive, classy interiors laden with amenities, stable handling.
- Price goes up quickly with options, engines a little short on low-end torque.

By SAS - November 1 - 10:00 amI purchased a 2003 Audi A4 Quattro with the following equipment: Premium Package (including drivers power seats); Xenon headlights, Bose sound system and the Cold Weather Package. Exterior Color: Brilliant Black Interior Color: Parchment (Beige) Leather List Price: $32,285 Purchase Price: $30,285 I also received 1.9% financing for 60 months. As the dealer was unable to locate an existing vehicle with my requested specs, I had to order it from Germany. It was ordered on 1/20/03 and took delivery on 5/1/03. It has 411 miles on it after 3 weeks time.

Great AWD Car - 2003 Audi A4
By Jeff - October 20 - 4:40 pmThe only real car to get if you want a sporty AWD car that hauls like an SUV but gets 25 mpg. I love the looks and build quality of the A4 Avant. I literally can not think of another car that I would pick right now to replace it. Get the Bose, its awesome, save your money on the Nav, its just okay.

Not too bad - 2003 Audi A4
By DTA43 - October 9 - 10:11 amIve had this car for over 3 years now. Had to get the windshield replaced in the first week: it had a defect that made everything look "wobbly." The fuel pump gave out at 1.5 years/30K miles, stranding me at 5 am (very frustrating!). I have since witnessed about 4 other identical models stranded in parking lots or on the freeway. Since the fuel pump, the car has not given me any problems, aside from strange electrical issues such as the mirrors rotating out of memorized position.

what a ride - 2003 Audi A4
By bubba616161 - September 25 - 2:00 amJust got the car last month. Awesome!! Had some aftermarket performance enhancement done by Joe Hoppen in Sarasota...now the 1.8T delivers 220hp and 230lb-ft torque. The CVT is awesome-so smooth, although I also have driven the stick (wonderful as well). Premium sound system phenomenal. When I drive normally, I average over 30mpg.

This baby is awesome - 2003 Audi A4
By Old Town Boy - September 25 - 2:00 amOwned my 2003 A4 for 3 1/2 months and love it. Dolphin gray inspires comments from strangers. 9k miles in less than 4 months and drove from DC to FLA. So far Im thrilled. Handling is tight and effortless. Acceleration, particulary at high speeds, is top notch. Car is extremely comfortable - feels like settling into a cockpit, but with a luxurious surrounding. Soundsystem is beyond excellent.

Great car - 2003 Audi A4
By tom - September 10 - 2:50 pmBought it brand new 3.5 yrs ago and had only 2 problems. Oil sludge build up at 43K miles which the dealer fixed right away. Fuel pump went out at 57K, warranty had already expired at 50K, but dealer replaced w/50% off. Other than that, its been a great reliable car. Would purchase another Audi in a heartbeat.

2003 audi a4 quattro 1.8T - 2003 Audi A4
By jzbender - September 8 - 10:00 amThis is the best car in its class for the money. A comparably equipped BMW 325ix costs over $5000 more and doesnt look nearly as good in sedan form. The interior is ergonomically perfect, with everything right where it belongs, while conveying a very upscale feel. The car should definately be ordered with the optional sport package ($1000), which includes a sport suspension and 17 wheels. This does everything for the appearance and handling. Its very quick and gets 32mpg on all trips taken. The 1.8T is alot more fun to drive than the 3.0.This car is the perfect combination of performance, luxury and economy for under $30k.

Never buy an Audi - 2003 Audi A4
By Toppro - August 31 - 1:59 pmAfter owning a 1998 A4 1.8T quatro, and an older Porsche Boxster I traded them both in due to age not condition for this A4 Cabriolet. What a mistake! After 8 months of ownership the car has been in the shop for a variety of problems ranging from electrical problems with the fuel injection system, to stupid items like the front windshield fogging up in the summer with the A/C on and top up. The car constantly has an issue with it to the point that you cannot enjoy it. Youre always waiting for the next issue to occur. Audi has gotten over confident of their product since 98 and the quality is now very poor. I would recommend you look elsewhere for a vehicle in this price range.
