Overview & Reviews
The big news is the arrival of the A4 Cabriolet, a fetching drop-top version of the A4 sedan. Initially, the company will offer only one drivetrain choice -- front-wheel drive with the 3.0-liter V6 engine and continuously variable transmission. Expect to see a 1.8T version midway through the model year and a 3.0 quattro Cab by October 2003. No word yet on the possibility of a manual transmission. As if this weren't enough, Audi plans to release a coupe version of the A4 in early 2003. The rest of the A4 lineup benefits from equipment upgrades. Leather is now optional on all 1.8T models, as are 12-way power front seats. All 3.0s will come swathed in leather, with more deluxe leather optional. Previous stand-alone options for the 3.0, including xenons and satellite steering wheel controls, have been swept up into the Premium Package. A new cold weather package includes seat heaters and a ski sack, and 17-inch all-season tires are a stand-alone extra.
- Available all-wheel drive, classy interiors laden with amenities, stable handling.
- Price goes up quickly with options, engines a little short on low-end torque.

Never buy an Audi - 2003 Audi A4
By Toppro - August 31 - 1:59 pmAfter owning a 1998 A4 1.8T quatro, and an older Porsche Boxster I traded them both in due to age not condition for this A4 Cabriolet. What a mistake! After 8 months of ownership the car has been in the shop for a variety of problems ranging from electrical problems with the fuel injection system, to stupid items like the front windshield fogging up in the summer with the A/C on and top up. The car constantly has an issue with it to the point that you cannot enjoy it. Youre always waiting for the next issue to occur. Audi has gotten over confident of their product since 98 and the quality is now very poor. I would recommend you look elsewhere for a vehicle in this price range.

hunk o junk - 2003 Audi A4
By Robert Pelton - May 2 - 10:00 amthe car broke down within 24 hours. An apparent problem that Audi is aware of but prefers to have it done as warranty work rather than recall

The Worst Car You Could Ever Buy - 2003 Audi A4
By Unhappy in IL - May 17 - 2:00 amMy 2002 A4 is a piece of junk. DO NOT BUY an AUDI A4. Two engine coils have failed after only 7 months of ownership. This is a known defect and Audi is recalling vehicles. Even if Audi has corrected this issue in 2003, their Corporate treatment of its customers is horrid. They did everything in their power not to make me happy. Your better off with another vehicle mfg.
