Nikkis Review - 2003 Toyota Highlander
By Nikki - December 9 - 2:00 amI really enjoy owning my highlander. Its everything it suppose to be in an SUV and more. The gas mileage is decent for a 4 cylinder. I average 24 mpg. I expect to get better gas mileage when I get closer to 20,000 miles.

Love my Highlander - 2003 Toyota Highlander
By rosiem - November 22 - 2:00 amI love my Highlander, the body reminds me more of a van than an SUV and that is the only thing I dont care for. But, there is really nothing I would change about my car. I like that there are plenty of drink holders in the car so you dont have to worry about anyone dropping their drinks. It is very easy to keep clean, no hard areas that you cant reach.

LOVE IT! - 2003 Toyota Highlander
By petrn - November 9 - 10:00 amI absolutely love the car! The ride is smooth and sure. I feel safe and comfortable when driving. The dealership was great although when I went to get the inspection sticker I was told an hour and a half wait was required. In fairness though, when I objected, the car was immediately inspected. I test drove many SUVs before deciding on the Highlander and I made the best choice by far.

The best car I have ever owned - 2003 Toyota Highlander
By jane - November 7 - 4:00 amIf this car died today it would owe me absolutely nothing. I have never had it back to the dealer for anything but routine maintenance. In fact at 111,000 miles I just took it in for a brake job and was told that they could save the rotors. These are the original brakes!!! Bet you wouldnt get that on an American car. Love this vehicle. Hope it lasts like the ones on the TV ads for at least 300,000 miles. I started driving in 1966 and have had many cars but this one is by far the best I have ever owned.

Awesome SUV - 2003 Toyota Highlander
By BobNJ - November 2 - 2:00 amI bought the 2003 Limited fully loaded. The options raised the priced to $32,500. I tried the Honda Pilot and Nissan Pathfinder w/comparable trim. The Pilot was roomy but the interior felt cheap. There was a 3 months wait which gives little room to haggle. The Pathfinder has a very nice but narrow interior. Highlander handles the curves with some body lean (less than other SUVs). The pickup is very smooth with no sudden jolts. Its made for the surburbanite who never go offroad and only takes occassional take trips to Vermont for skiing. The interior is ergonomically designed. The leather seats and simulated wood panels gives it a simple classy look.

Hunter - 2003 Toyota Highlander
By Smokey - October 20 - 6:20 pmSteering is very stiff at highway speeds causing the feeling that it has locked up, and trying to make a minor adjustment always results in an oversteer or over correction situation. The result is a weaving left to right as you travel the straight-aways. There is no room for any extra stuff in the front for the driver or passenger. Difficult to get the EPA rating of 24 Hghy.

BHL - 2003 Toyota Highlander
By boris721 - October 16 - 10:00 amThe vehicle rides very comfortably and smoothly on all road types and conditions. The Limited is equipped with excellent features and design both on the exterior and in the interior. Overall this is a quality vehicle with plenty of interior space.

Another Toyota! - 2003 Toyota Highlander
By Bill n Duane - October 16 - 10:00 amThis our third Toyota my partner and I have purchased. You just cant beat Toyota for its reliablity. We have had BMWs that spent more time in the repair shop then on the road. We test drove the Honda Pilot. What a dissapointment compared to the Highlander!
