Overview & Reviews
No major changes for the Crown Victoria this year.
- Low price, rear-wheel-drive performance, standard ABS, room for six, comfortable ride, excellent crash test results.
- Large size makes it difficult to park and maneuver, dated interior styling.

Simply Amazed! - 2005 Ford Crown Victoria
By collegestudent21 - November 10 - 8:56 amI was definitely not planning on buying a crown victoria, my previous car, died a week before I was suppose to start college, i had a 2000 Toyota Camry, only had 98,000 miles and the car died. I got my 05 crown victoria from my grandmother, she bought a new 08 grand marqauis. Ive had the car for a year and a half. The reliability has been great so far, it had 18,000 miles when I got it, it has 47,000 miles as of today, has not had any problems os far. The ride is extremely smooth, car has amazing power, i catch myself speeding alot. The seats are extremely comfortable, and lastly the gas mileage is amazing, on two different trips, i got an average of 28 MPG, I was shocked.

2005 Crown Victoria Sport - 2005 Ford Crown Victoria
By Tom - November 1 - 7:40 pmJust bought this car and love it. The LX Sport gives a fantastic ride, great handling, and plenty of power. LX Sport comes with 17 inch wheels. This car moves! If you are looking for a sedan bigger than any GM car this is it. Rides so smooth and the handling package is great. Plenty of interior room and a huge trunk. This car is so under marketed by Ford!

CVPI Review - 2005 Ford Crown Victoria
By steve bloom - May 11 - 5:00 pmThis is a brand new 2005 Police Interceptor with the 250 hp engine. Quick midrange performance, but slower off the line due to the curb weight. Outstanding response and handles like its on rails. Very well balanced. Spartan interior but very comfortable buckets with power adjustment. Dual exhaust has a nice sound but is subdued at the same time. Same as the LX Sport except for the 11 hp increase.

Great suprise - 2005 Ford Crown Victoria
By great car - March 8 - 8:13 pmSuprisingly great ride, handling, economy, and dependability. The v-8 delivers a significant amount of power and consistantly averages over 22 mpg. Although a good looking car, the style is becoming a little outdated. I have put over 40k miles with absolutely no problems with the vehicle. I strongly recommend; comparability equal to luxury sedans costing thousands more.

cant complain yet - 2005 Ford Crown Victoria
By sean - December 12 - 12:40 pmThe 05 is my second Crown Vic. I had a ‘93 with 158,000 on it when I sold it to a friend and it’s still running great, I love the cars, I love the space, I love the way they drive, I love the looks I get Im 28 and people don’t know what I’m doing in that car. They are very commanding and posh cars. If I get the mileage out of the new one I got from the old one with the reliability of the old one I’ll have no problem spending $31,000 on another one,

Fords best car. Period. - 2005 Ford Crown Victoria
By Mark - September 21 - 2:50 pmI have had very good luck with Ford Crown Vics. I put 150,000 miles on them and then sell them to folks who proceed to drive them for years. Reliability is probably the best of any American car. No electrical problems, no head gasket problems, no tranny issues. I never spend money for repairs other than regular maintenance. My 2005 LX Sport is very comfortable, great in the snow and ice with the traction control and gets 25 mpg. on the highway. I also like the safety as I live and travel in Minnesota and the drivers here are the worst in any state I have been in. I have tried other cars, none compare in value and reliability.

05 Crown Vic Sport - 2005 Ford Crown Victoria
By GM defector - August 21 - 5:56 amAfter being totally turned off by my 02 Chevy Impala LS sedan, I looked at some imports and then was told to look at a Crown. Wow, I opted for the sport model, and it was worth every penny. This is an unbelievable car that has my peers in there thirties absolutely amazed. They thought that only the older generation would buy this car..I can run circles around their Grand Prix GTs and Camrys and Jettas. Thanks Ford, you have me for life, sorry General Mistake, i meant General Motors!

Crown Vic - 2005 Ford Crown Victoria
By marjorie holder - March 30 - 2:13 amWe have driven this vehicle and had only one problem on the road. It was taken care of by the tow truck driver. It involved the starter and once it was started we simply did not turn it off until we got back to our dealer and it was fixed under warranty. We chose it for its comfort and handling. We consider it next to the Town Car.

Crown Victoria reigns supreme - 2005 Ford Crown Victoria
By Broosterb1 - March 8 - 2:13 pmGreat car! Excellent over the road, high speed comfort. Mine is tricked out, 6 CD, high quality Bose sound, leather, eletronic dash, easy to use auto air and heat, power seats, lumbar, traction control, 4 wheel abs. My last Crown Vic went 167,000 miles. One before that was killed by a drunk driver doing 65, I walked away with out a scratch! Very reliable. Best auto buy on the market. Even better if bought at one year as a low mileage program car.
