2001 Monte - 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By SD Beckwith - December 28 - 11:50 amI have enjoyed this car for 6 years and would buy another. The gas milelage was 22 in town and 28 mpg on the road. I had to replace the radiator fan unit this past year. My air conditioner will need to be replaced next year.

Monte SS - 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By mattyv - November 9 - 10:00 amGreat cruising vehicle with plenty of pep in the bottom end when its new. Over time the mid end of the end isnt as responsive. Overall I am still very pleased with the vehicle based on its looks and comfort. All this vehicle needs is a supercharger or even a V8 with rear wheel drive.

Still enjoy drving it - 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By Russ - October 16 - 7:00 pmIts a good daily driver that still turns heads almost like when it was new. I only drive about 11k mi. per year, but take some 7+ hour road trips. Its a big comfy car that looks sporty and gets great gas mileage. Seems very stable at high speeds. I got an extended warranty still in effect which has paid off. Stuff that failed: hazard flashers in 1st year; 3 year - main computer died as did the battery; 5-year - catalytic converter failed and burned up the intake manifold and seals, alternator went out, in the shop several times for the intermediate steering shaft (fixed now?), and a front wheel bearing went out. Some other weird computer quirks with interior lights and auto locks.

Very nice car - 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By toegar - September 9 - 10:00 amMy car has been a pleasure to drive. It has the pick up when you need it. It takes corners tight and with ease. The car gets a lot of compliments from stangers. Im 47 and never had this much fun with a car. The car has had no no major problems. I store it in the garage over the winter.

Bills Full Monte SS - 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By Bill - August 17 - 4:26 amPurchased this car for trips and cruising. Front heated seats are excellent for long runs. Never feel fatigued or cramped after all day drives. Receive plenty of good comments on the cars looks and Torch Red paint with the graphite interior. You either like the styling or not, no in betweens. The ladies love this car.

Cant believe theres not more recalls on this vehicle - 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
By eyzofblue72 - May 28 - 2:50 pmI bought my 2001 car brand new in Nov 2000. Within the 1st year the driver seat heater went out - so had that replaced. Since then, I have had to have my catalytic converter replaced which now as I have been doing research found out it would have been covered under a Special Policy Adjustment - Catalytic Converter #05551 -(09/14/2005) Models: 2001-02 CHEVROLET IMPALA, MONTE CARLO EQUIPPED WITH 3.4L (RPO LA1 - VIN E) OR 3.8L (RPO L36 - VIN K) V6 ENGINE. Which surprisingly GM didnt bother to send. Now 4 years later, my catalytic converter needs to be replaced again. My security light has been on since 50k miles and Ive had to replace my 4th gear shaft and the list goes on.
