I love my truck! - 2002 Toyota Tacoma
By Toni - May 3 - 8:38 pmAside from basic maintenance, this vehicle has never needed major repairs. I had the truck for 15 years and could still drive it another 100k.

Great Quality - 2002 Toyota Tacoma
By rolltide - May 2 - 10:00 amSo far so good! The quality on the Toyota product is top notch! Haven;t had one problem except that the clock is positioned in the wrong place and hard to see. The interior has held up very well especially with kids, animals and the frequent trip to the beach.

Love it, Love it! - 2002 Toyota Tacoma
By Dogfly001 - March 21 - 10:00 amI had a 98 Nissan Maxima SE and a 86 Toyota Land Cruiser, but I need to get rid one due to space; so i decided to get rid of both and settle on the Dble Cab. Best decision I have ever made. The only complaint, like everyone else, the clock position is useless! Smooth engine and excellent handling, compared to other trucks. TRD package is too harsh for some with weak bladders, but I love it.

Still Going Strong! - 2002 Toyota Tacoma
By JimBo - February 1 - 2:30 amI bought this used to see if I could live with a compact truck. Mine has 2.7 4 cyl with 5 speed. The catch is it has 220k miles on it!! I have to say it runs like new I swear!! I talked to the guy that owned it from new and he had no problems ever. Leaks nothing and burns no oil. Shifts great. I have oversize rims and tires and still has decent pickup. When this wears out Ill buy another with less miles for sure. Oh no rust on the body or frame either, Im in the rust belt in the Northeast. Goes great in snow.

Inexpensive Workhorse - 2002 Toyota Tacoma
By euroeric - February 1 - 2:00 amThis truck has done everything Ive asked of it- from towing over 4000 lbs to hauling engines to commuting to the hospital and back. An awesome truck all around, my next truck will be another Toyota (in about 15 years- at this rate this thing will last forever). It handled poorly on the stock tires in rain, but since I swapped them recently, it has improved greatly.

Its a Toyota - 2002 Toyota Tacoma
By Rainman - January 5 - 4:23 amThis is my 3rd Toyota P/U. Purchased because dependability. Ive been disappointed with the fuel mileage, 20mpg. Wish Toyota would go back to manual hubs and offer a small diesel in the US. For its size, it cant be beat for performance and overall satisfaction.

Bigger Is Not Always Better - 2002 Toyota Tacoma
By Flavellinator - November 17 - 11:06 pmI looked at many new trucks and was not impressed. Sure, theyre larger, faster, and hold more things, but thats not what I needed. I didnt want the worry of fitting into a small parking space, or making a U-turn, or driving on a narrow road. I needed a truck that held four people comfortably while still being able to haul my stuff, rode well, and was dependable. So I backtracked and purchased a used Tacoma. What a great decision! Its design is outstanding; the sightlines from sitting up high are fantastic. Gas mileage is good. Its comfortable too. Not everyone wants a big truck; its a mistake that they removed this size of vehicle from the market, so get a good used one while you can.
