By Dale Bjorklund - November 1 - 10:00 amUpgrade from my 10 years of driving a 90 2WD Toyota 4-banger (a great little truck in its own right, my son owns it now). My 02 is a great truck, and I think it rides fine too!! Good power, great handling. Im looking forward to snow for the first time in years!!

Humpty Dumpty... - 2002 Toyota Tacoma
By guamSAR - October 21 - 2:00 amI bought this truck for my wife.Well, 6 months later she hit a big rutt in the road and before she knew it she was flying off into a ditch. The front wheels got their traction back as she turned the wheels back to the right and she started rolling. All told my wife rolled it 1 and 3/4 times ending up on the passenger side of the truck.

Awesome - 2002 Toyota Tacoma
By Packman - October 9 - 10:20 pmExtremely reliable vehicle. Slim profile (compared to full-sized trucks and SUVs)and adequate ground clearance allows one to maneuver in tight off-road situations. Dependable, tight vehicle thats lots of fun to drive.

Great Little Truck - 2002 Toyota Tacoma
By kevinjack - September 20 - 10:00 amI selected the Toyota Tacoma after comparison with Ford Ranger and Mazda 4000. Toyota was slightly more expensive but beat the competition in every other category. Great little truck with a reputation for running forever without breakdown. Requires a 1000 very gentle break in period which is unusual and a pain but that may be how it stays together for so long.

Still Going Strong - 2002 Toyota Tacoma
By Barnone - September 18 - 3:46 amBought new, 91,000 miles now, just put new front drakes pads, thats it for repairs. The tires lasted 60,000 miles. About 20 MPG highway or city. Not great but OK. Runs and drives very good.

Tacoma Crew Cab 4x4 - 2002 Toyota Tacoma
By Mike Humeston - August 8 - 10:00 amBought new in July. I have 2080 miles on it. The air conditioner compressor is loud with it on high. The paint appears wrinkled along the lower rocker panels. I have been told this is normal. Clock is no big deal but you cant see it while driving. Came from the factory with one cargo hook missing in the rear, dealer replaced it without any problem. The rear seat folded down provides an unstable platform for carrying much. I do love the ECT switch on this rig and the comfortable front and rear seating is a plus. Picked up 1.5 MPG with the K&N air filter. So far I am satisfied with the vehicle and the dealer.

Tacoma 2002 - 2002 Toyota Tacoma
By Khoi - July 2 - 10:00 amThis is a great truck. Ive owned the inline 4 in the past and it was adequate for everyday use. But changing over to this 3.4 L V6 is great. This engine has so much pep in it. Althought I would love to see how it could really perform with the TRD supercharger.

Glad I did it! - 2002 Toyota Tacoma
By msurtees - April 7 - 10:00 amFinally getting rid of a 1991 Toyota Corolla. It was time to get a truck and I was thinking of Dodge, Ford, and Toyota. The more I thought about it, my last Toyota lasted me 11 years and had well over 200,000 miles on it...why would I go with anyone else?! Just bought it and I love it!

Surprising vehicle! - 2002 Toyota Tacoma
By Trish - April 2 - 10:00 amIve always been a Honda driver. But after getting into this compact truck and driving it around, I was totally surprised! Its smooth, doesnt have a bulky "truck" feeling to it and its so easy to manuever in and out of traffic. The seats are a little stiff but I really like the tilt steering wheel option. Ive only accrued 200 miles on it so far, but I cant wait to test it on longer, highway trips! Working with the dealership was another surprising experience! Great guys!
