Outstanding Truck--worth the price - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By Standt - December 22 - 7:03 amAfter one month of ownership, I have no serious complaints about this truck. It handles wonderfully and has plenty of power to spare. I am so glad I chose the LB over the SB. I am 6-4 285 and was plenty comfortable in the front cab. I test drove this cab with 3 others that were over 6-0 and 200 pounds and we were all mostly comfortable. As far as noise goes it can get a little loud during accelleration but is reasonable and quiet most of the time. Hope you like cup holders, this has a bunch, good for cups and water bottles in the doors.

One awesome truck! - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By Arthur - December 18 - 10:06 amI traded in my 2001 S-runner for the new 2005 model. The interior was completely overhauled for the 2005 edition. Compared to the old Tacoma, the 2005 is a lot more roomier, stylish, and alot more accessible. The access cab has a fold down passenger seat and four doors for easy loading. The 4.0L engine has a nice burst of power that comes in handy when needed. The composite bed liner seems very durable and it covers the bed rails helping to avoid paint damage. The 21 gallon fuel tank is great for long trips. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase and I highly recommend this vehicle if you are looking for a compact truck.

My 05 PreRunner 10 Years Later - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By timztoytac - December 9 - 4:28 amGenerally speaking, the Tacome is without a doubt the Best Looking Mid-Size Pickup out there. The 4.0L V6 is an excellent power plant with great acceleration and towing capability. The interior is average at best, although improvements have come on later models, it is stil very comfortable on long drives and easy to get Ina and out of. The handling capability for this truck is pretty solid around turns and the ride suspension is pretty decent as well. Obviously Tacomas Rule, because everywhere I go, I see them more than any other truck.

2005 Tacoma 6 speed manual - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By tacoma_guy - December 6 - 7:40 amIve had my new Tacoma 7 weeks and I love it. The 4.0 V6 with the 6 speed manual trans is awesome. This truck is super quick. It has a lot of power to spare. It will smoke just about every pickup in its class (except maybe the V8 Dodge Dakota). I have the TRD sport pack 2 with the intake scoop on the hood which is a nice touch. I love the way this truck rides and handles. I was able to get it in the Speedway metallic blue color which really attracts attention. Since Ive had it I added the aluminum tubes steps, sunshades, bug shield, and OBX shifter. Im waiting for a cab high cap and gibsen performance exhaust that is due anyday to complete my add-ons. No wonder its rated 05 truck of the year.

Committed Toyota Driver - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By Mark - November 29 - 11:36 amThis is my third Toyota Pickup. They keep making their trucks better and better. The height makes you feel like it is a full size truck, but its handling and manuverability lets you know it is compact. Love the composite bed. The power and acceleration in their 4 cyc. responds better than a lot of 6 cyls. They really know how to build engines. Ive found as long as you keep up with the oil changes, you should not have any problems with Toyotas. One problem with it is I can be on the highway doing 65 mph and the truck is running so smooth and quiet, it takes me a minute to remember I forgot to shift out of third gear (not really a bad thing I guess). I recomend this truck to all my friends.

Best Truck - 2005 Toyota Tacoma

The ride, size and power combination is perfect for driving in SoCal. The truck looks and drives great. All of my friends are jealous. Toyotas reputation speaks for itself. It truly is a world class truck. Buy one you will not be disappointed!

Great Truck - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By P McCrea - November 15 - 7:53 amIf you are looking into trucks and dont want to spend 35k, then this is it. The Quad Cab has more room than my 4 dr sedan did. The gas mileage is great for a truck. 17-19mi per. There is not a smarter designed truck out there. Toyota really knew what they were doing on this one.

Another Great Truck - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By jknut - November 8 - 9:13 amToyota keeps building great machines. This one has been very reliable. 55mi and running strong. NEVER needed repairs outside of general maint. This truck offers all around versatility, good gas mileage (19 mpg- city or hwy), and great resale. Yes, this truck will cost you 2-3K more than a domestic, but its well worth it.

I did exhaustive research (considered every truck available) for 1 full year prior to deciding to buy the Tacoma. I am very satisfied and certain I made the best choice. I needed a truck that was tough, reliable, economical (as reasonably possible), suitable for family transport (wife w/ 2 kids), with respectable load/towing specs. The sport-shift style transmission is great for towing as it (almost) allows the same level of control that a manual does. The Tacoma is a sensible, all- around great truck. It does everything well. It just looks solid/tough and actually is based upon my experience thus far.
