Overview & Reviews
Since its introduction in 1995, the Toyota Tacoma has been a mainstay of the compact and midsize pickup segments. The original Tacoma fell into the compact category, while the second-generation truck's 2005 debut marked the transition to midsize dimensions. Typical advantages to a new or used Tacoma include a variety of body styles to choose from, useful off-road abilities, strong resale value and a better than average reputation for reliability.
Downsides are few. Even when modestly appointed, this Toyota often costs more than competing trucks and prices are high on the used market as well. In addition, taller drivers might feel cramped inside the first-generation Tacoma's compact cab. Otherwise, the Toyota Tacoma is a very capable pickup that's highly recommended for nearly all truck shoppers.

Toyota Tacoma Access - 2010 Toyota Tacoma
By Harold Hatcher - January 27 - 6:13 pmI took delivery on a speed wagon blue V6, auto. SR5, access cab Tacoma pick- up. This is my second in 3 years. Obviously I think they are a good product and depreciation is low. I have had no reliability problems. Comfort and performance are excellent. I have found that gas mileage is very close to EPA sticker I love the back-up camera, traction control and side air bags. My wishes: a more adjustable driver seat, a smaller "A" pillar (blind spot drivers side) and a dash light that tells you if the parking lights are on. I am satisfied.

Great little truck - 2000 Toyota Tacoma
By Jazbone - January 27 - 10:00 amBought this used in 7/02.. Im totally amazed at the quality and performance this truck has. It will drive on any snow/icey surface with ease, good power for a 2.7 litre, with great gas mileage, 20/23 and I have registered 25.5 down I-5 @ 60-65 mph. The ride is a little stiff, and the cab is a bit too narrow for 2 adults

First Toyota - 2003 Toyota Tacoma
By kcjam - January 27 - 10:00 amI previously owned a Dodge with such poor reliability, that I switched to Toyota. This truck is great for hauling my family of 4. Great offroad, fun to maneuver in traffic, and pulls ATV/snowmobile without trouble. Bed extender is a must! Truck handling is skittish at higher speeds, and too much wind noise. Otherwise, I love it.

Sturdy and fun!! - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By earthmama - January 26 - 10:13 pmI was sold on Dodge for many years having owned 3 Dodge trucks and 1 Dodge van. After the Dodge dealership didnt have what I wanted, and didnt seem too eager to procure my vehicle of choice, for grins, I stopped by the Toyota dealership. That afternoon, I test drove the 2005 Tacoma Crew Cab, 4x4 and NEVER LOOKED BACK!!! They ordered what I wanted and I have had nothing but praise for this truck.

The Best Car - 1999 Toyota Tacoma
By Rogers owner - January 20 - 11:53 pmThis was one of the most amazing trucks, it is no wonder they are so hard to find! My Tacoma was at about 118,000 miles when I drifted of the road on a rainy day and overcorrected, which caused my car to flip when it hit a soft spot. I walked out of the car with only a scratch on my arm. Although the damage exceeded the value of the car, it kept me completely safe. This car showed no signs of age, and with routine oil changes would have lasted probably 200,000 more miles. Its bed served all my purposes, offered organizational storage, and is a car I would by far recommend to anyone.

Never Quits! - 2004 Toyota Tacoma
By Grizz12 - January 15 - 2:00 amI have had my truck for almost a year now, and it has given me no problems! Previously, I owned a decked out Nissan Frontier and there is no comparison; My Tacoma which I had outfitted with Toyotas TRD supercharger produces 265 horsepower approximately which kicks the heck out of my previous rig... I just love driving this truck, Ive never been stuck, the 4wd is the best Ive ever owned and the supercharger helps. Only bad thing, you cant get the supercharger factory installed, you have to go through your dealer. However I got a great deal, never take the first offer is a good tip guys! I recommend this setup big time, it is a great vehicle!
