The Best Compact Truck Ever - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By Gio - January 4 - 2:16 amThe new Toyota Tacoma 2005 is the best compact truck ever. The handling is impressive for the siza of the truck. the 4.0L V6 is amazing for a small engine. The truck is one of a kind. The gas mileage is great. I reccommend this truck to a true truck lover.

UGHHHH!!!! - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By JJ - January 3 - 11:13 pmWhile the truck does have towing capacity that is all it has, but it cant even do that at high speeds. Heck a golf cart can pull something, it just cant do it with any speed and neither can my Toyota truck. Gas milage is average for a truck. The interior is small compared to Mazda and Nissan. Also not very comfortable. Road noise is very loud. The body metal is even thinner than before and the vehicle can be dented just by leaning on it. Everything on a Toyota is an extra option costing you more money to upgrade. Toyota is relying on its name and reputation to sell there product instead of giving the customer options. Im getting rid of my Toyota and getting a Nissan.

overall a great truck - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By jays99taco - January 3 - 3:26 pmI sold my 1999 taco and got the 05. Love this truck. The 4.0 is powerfull and the difference from the 3.4 is night and day. The access cab is the #1 reson I wanted this truck. styling is a bit contemporary but it fits the truck well. I have the sport seats and they are comfortable. The TRD off road pkg is awesome. The truck definitely is larger on the exterior and the interior is very spacious. My father is 64" tall and he is very comfortable in this truck. The composit bed is a great Idea. I will have to see how it holds up. Take one for a drive and see for your self.

Perfect Compromise - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By Shiv - December 22 - 3:23 amIn going from a true fullsize truck, to a big midsize double cab, isnt much of an issue in the new Tacoma. The driving position is perfect to see the road. The TRD Off-Road package makes for relatively uneventful travel over even the roughest roads in the city -- should tame the rugged trails too. The power from the 4.0L V6 is excellent and rivals V8s from just a couple years ago. The truck feels solid, handles well, and looks sharp.

My life long dream come true - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By tacoma momma - December 11 - 3:30 amI have wanted a toyota ever since they were toys and this year I bought one right off the show room floor. It rides great and has plenty of leg room. The engine sounds good. The gas mileage is great, I have driven 265 miles and 3/4 of a tank. The outside is beautiful and well curved. The bed is awesome. The whole package is worth the price.

My First Toyota - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By TacoLover - November 29 - 12:46 amI drove everything else. The Toyota drove bettter and handled better and had a bigger bed. Tons of power, smooth ride for a truck and great stance... The best part is the fact that with the TRD package I sit just as high as a stock 4x4 F-150! It took two weeks to find a blue 4x4 double cab with TRD in So Cal, but was worth the wait. First auto tranny Ive owned.

Truck of the Year And I can prove it - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By thegyn - November 26 - 12:43 pmI had reviewed trucks for a year before purchasing. I actually didnt want the truck because I didnt think it would haul, tow, and still maintain its ablitly to drive to work everyday. I was WRONG. This truck is FUN, and economical. I would like better gas mileage but I know what I was getting into with a V6. The power & comfort that the truck provides is excellent but yet it feels like a car while driving. When needed, the truck will traverse terrain and tow with ease.

Just what I expected by Toyota. - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By Ric Larsen - November 24 - 8:06 amAbsolutely the best buy I have made with a vehicle. Only bad point...the windshield isnt rock proof. My truck has performed flawlessly and I look forward to my next year with it. Thank you Toyota!

First Ever Truck - 2005 Toyota Tacoma
By Steve - November 9 - 6:40 amThis is my first ever pick-up truck and what a great truck. It is quieter than my last vehicle (Lexus IS 300) on the hwy. and gets about the same mileage. The ride and handling are superior. Mines the 2.7 litre with the five speed. The clutch and shifter are as smooth as my Honda Accord was. Im sure I will get many years of trouble free and inexpensive use.
