Great offroad, harsh ride - 2004 Toyota Tacoma
By Citrus man - March 19 - 2:00 amI now have 50000 miles on my Tacoma. During the fist couple of months I really liked this truck. But, then I started realizing how it will beat you do death off road, and after a long road trip your back will beg for mercy. Overall, its fun to drive and is great off road. However, its stiff ride and plywood type seats make it a very ucomfortable truck to drive.

Disappointed - 2004 Toyota Tacoma
By Taco - February 28 - 6:16 pmThe transmission has a shift problem. The dealer was able to somewhat correct the problem but it by far the worst shifting automatic transmission I have ever driven. It is very hard to park this truck. I am trading the truck in on a 2005 Toyota Tundra next week. I hope I have better luck.

Taco love - 2004 Toyota Tacoma
By Todd - January 3 - 8:40 pmI love my toyota to death however when you have to move you gotta learn to let them go. I think its an excellent truck however they have started lacking on things recently such as metal durability...they dent so easy now. It doesnt bother me that much but i could sure use some better gas mileage, but i know thats a lot to do with me cause i cant keep off the pedal its just to much fun.

Mystic Gold 2004 Tacoma - 2004 Toyota Tacoma
By Toddles - December 7 - 10:00 amWhat a great truck. Just recently traded in my 2002 Two-Door Tacoma for a 2004 Double Cab V6. Definately a great truck.. looks, styling, effcient engine... it has it all! I find myself wanting a second one even though I already have one!

Great truck! - 2004 Toyota Tacoma
By Rob - November 16 - 6:40 pmI was looking for a pickup that handled like a car and comparable gas milage, the Tacoma fits the bill. Pleasantly surprised to find a/c, stereo and cruise all on this trim level (SR5). Rear-end skip takes some getting used to, but otherwise handles well. Highway milage greatly improves with tailgate down (or off).

2004 Tocoma Extracab - 2004 Toyota Tacoma
By CHAS - October 31 - 10:00 amVery, very poor gas milege for a 4 cylinder engine. Cannot make 20 miles to the gallon. Rides a little rough for a 4 X 2 vehicle.

Toyota Tacoma Double Cab PreRunner - 2004 Toyota Tacoma
By Aplus - October 26 - 10:00 amI have had the truck for about two months now and I love it. The quality and reliability greatly outweigh any negatives. This is the second Toyota in the family (2002 Sequoia) and I have never owned any car or truck that has been better made or has been as reliable.
