Love my Taco - 2006 Toyota Tacoma
By Jack - August 21 - 4:23 pmThis is my 5th Tacoma. The new larger body style and larger motor make this truck better than it has ever been before. I am very impressed so far.

Great Truck - 2006 Toyota Tacoma
By John Seebach - August 2 - 4:33 amI purchased a 2006 Toyota Tacoma 4 dr access cab in 12/06. I was a faithful Ford Ranger owner prior to the Tacoma. I had a 97 Ranger until 4/06 and then purchased a 2006 Ranger. I was not pleased with the 06 Ranger. I took a chance on a Toyora Tacoma. Really enjoy the quality and performance of this vehicle, especially compared to the 06 Ranger. There really is a dramatic difference in quality, interior features and smooth ride. The gas mileage on the Tacoma is not as good -about 21 city and 24 highway - but the superior quality makes up for it.

My Choice Toy - 2006 Toyota Tacoma
By jersey joe - July 6 - 8:03 amI had never owned an import but was getting tired not having the reliabilty after 75k miles. The Tacoma was listed on the UAW.com website as a Union Made car to buy. Then after comparing on Edmunds.com nothing better in its class. The price was even better in some cases. So far it has been perfect choice. Fun to drive, more comfort than I even thought possible. Especially on the highway.

An incredible truck - 2006 Toyota Tacoma
By daveyo - July 3 - 3:41 amMy 2006 Tacoma is the first truck Ive owned and it is amazing. Ive driven it over 280,000 miles and the only repair its needed was a transmission rebuild (didnt change the fluid frequently). I do change the oil regularly, and now change the transmission fluid regularly. This truck shows no signs of slowing down. Mechanically - its as sound as they come. The interior is very durable. After 280K, the drivers seat shows very little wear.

Power and Style Combined - 2006 Toyota Tacoma
By kdr - June 12 - 5:23 pmTop of the line styling, best in class! The truck presents like a truck while at the same time scores as a top-shelf SUV from the inside out. The long bed is just that, long on functionality and big on capability. This class, size and design of truck ensures heads turn as you drive by and no doubt fills driver and passengers with pride.

Loyal Tacoma Owner - 2006 Toyota Tacoma
By DAVE T - June 11 - 7:00 pmThis is the second Tacoma that Ive owned. Ive never been brand partial until my first Tacoma purchase. Its the only truck Ill have now. Needed something small enough for just myself commuting to/from work, but also something I could take the family out in as well. Double cab fits the bill perfectly. 18-24 MPG is decent for a 4X4 truck. Stylish looks are sporty, ride is quiet and comfortable as compared to my 02. Had an unfortunate accident in the 02 when a driver pulled out in front of me causing a serious crash. Truck held up well and recd only minor damage as opposed to the Chevy Malibu that got what it deserved! Toyota makes a solid truck!

Great Small Truck! - 2006 Toyota Tacoma
By MHadden - May 19 - 3:23 pmI owned a 2001 Sonoma years before buying this truck. There is no comparison. This truck feels like it has a V6 (only a 2.7L 4 cyl) and has an awesome ride while not being too harsh. What takes the cake is the great gas mileage. I didnt buy this truck for mileage, but Im averaging 25 mpg with about 40%/60% city/highway driving. Not to shabby. The composite bed is nice, Im sure it saves a few pounds off of the weight. I was bummed that it doesnt come with a tow package, but I did buy the OE hitch system for it. The man. trans is awesome, even when pulling a load. Keep your mud flaps on, the paint chips easily along the rockers; I found out the hard way.

Nothing else comes close - 2006 Toyota Tacoma
By akf - May 13 - 4:33 pmThis is my 5th Toyota, and my 2nd Toyota Truck. There is no comparison in the engine power, noise level, fit and finish, and interior comfort among trucks this size. It is MUCH larger than the old Tacoma, and feels like a 4-runner with a bed tacked on. Gets up and goes. I Love it.

Yahoo, Im back in the saddle again - 2006 Toyota Tacoma
By Svend - April 20 - 4:13 pmThis truck drives like a sports car, yet has the capabilities of a large truck. Moving down the freeway, if I only want silence I can shut off the cd/radio, outside road noise is minimal at best. Load it up with bed full of dirt and still has get up and go, and with the locking dif no issues going through the soft stuff. I havent had any issues squeezing into parking places where ever I go, only problem so far has been at the gas pump where I spend more time there than I want talking with everbody about the truck.

great - 2006 Toyota Tacoma
By John - March 4 - 10:43 pmI have been through many vehicles and nothing compares to the Tacoma, the quality is great and is good on gas for a truck. It also has a car like ride. The rust proof deposit bed is a really nice feature. I highly recommend the Tacoma.
