  • Shes Pretty... But She Works! - 2006 Toyota Tacoma

Toyota put a lot of thought into the Tacoma and the needs of a light truck owner. Pressed into service as a working pickup truck, I moved the entire contents of my house without a problem. As long as you dont exceed its half-ton rating, just cram everything into the fully lined bed, tie down and go. The Tacoma looks sharp, rides high and solid, and is easy to handle on a congested city parkway or a spacious country backroad. The cab is very roomy, well- appointed, well-upholstered, and the AM/FM/CD is quite impressive for a stock system. The 4 cyl 2.7l engine lights off with a roar, sounding and feeling more like a 6. With gas prices these days, you cant beat its high 20s to near 30 MPG.

  • The best V6 truck of its type - 2006 Toyota Tacoma

This is my first Toyota purchase. I never seen such quality interior and exterior even on Luxury vehicles. I got the TRD Sports package with 17" wheels.

  • 2WD is fine with Traction Control option - 2006 Toyota Tacoma
    By -

Im extremely happy with my purchase two years later. Vehicle performs flawlessly in the snow and ice of the Massachusetts Berkshires. Insist on traction control options if you live in a similar locale, they have done the job consistently for me. Meanwhile, I get the mileage advantages of a 2WD power train. Seats are a little thin but not uncomfortable.

I have had this truck for almost 2 years and love it. It has a decent amount of power for a midsize truck.

  • Id buy it again! - 2006 Toyota Tacoma

I bought this to pull a pretty heavy bass boat through Ozark mountains comfortably and have room for 2 good size dogs. It has had no trouble pulling the boat up and down those mountains, even passing up steep hills with the boat. Im on 150,000 miles and maintenance has been basically a couple sets of tires, and a set of breaks. It still rides good.

  • Perfect Truck - 2006 Toyota Tacoma

This truck is just about perfect. Great power, handling, comfort. The gas mileage could be better (averaging 16 mpg in mixed highway). Has a high fun factor, throw it into corners and punch it merging on the freeway. I bought the sports package with stereo upgrade, and had the Snugtop shell installed by the factory. All well worth the money in my opinion.

  • Oh What a Feeling! - 2006 Toyota Tacoma

I bought this truck as a demo with 8K miles. I now have 82K plus in about two years and it is still ticking strong. I do find the seats uncomfortable for long road trips, but every other part of interior design and layout is perfect. Storage is excellent. I had the rear leaf TSB performed to replace the original springs. The new 4 leaf springs handle weight much better than stock. I use Michelin LTX AT tires. This truck rides and drives like a car! It is sporty, powerful, nimble. It is also easy to maneuver in parking lots/garages and around town. Service has been minimum/standard and I have had no warranty issues. The transmission seems to seek gears esp. around 40 mph.

  • Very nice Truck - 2006 Toyota Tacoma

I just bought it a week ago, but I can already tell that this truck is gonna be with me for the long run. It drives great, very smooth everywhere. Compared to the ride quality of my brothers 02 tacoma trd, this truck feels much much better. Toyota has seemed to perfect the suspension, its soft yet very solid when needed. The power is great, and fuel economy is ok. The interior is by far the best in a truck, kind of like being in a semi luxury vehicle. Engine layout is outstanding for those of you that like to change the oil yourself. If you are looking for a midsize truck, this is a no brainer, get the tacoma, you wont regret it.

  • Is this really a truck??? - 2006 Toyota Tacoma

I once had a 1994 toyota compact and I loved it til it was totalled in an accident. The new 2006 ext. cab Tacoma is the same vehicle I loved reborn to be even better. More space, power and good looks and drives better than most cars. Toyota is untouchable with the Tacoma.

  • YOU JUST CANT BEAT IT - 2006 Toyota Tacoma

While in the market for a new vehicle I test drove all the competing trucks. When it came to quality, and that crucial "fun to drive" factor, no one came close to the Toyota Tacoma. With the TRD SR5 Off-road package this baby makes my morning commutes fun, and it turns heads. The engine has plenty of torque, the truck is built like a tank, it drives great in the snow, the interior is modern and quality built, and most important of all, my pregnant wife feels safe inside. I recommend that anyone in the market for a new truck test drives a Tacoma before making a final decision. You wont be disappointed! Cant wait to take this Bad Boy to the hills! TOYOTA ROCKS!!!!
