I have owned this truck for just over 2 years now and have loved every minute. The Tacoma is an all around fun truck to drive. Ive been on sand at lake powell, mountains all over, mud and snow, and the thing just keeps going. I love how this truck performs. It has never disappointed me.

  • Best Truck on the Market!!!! I LOVE IT! - 2004 Toyota Tacoma

This is the first NEW vehicle I have ever bought. Ive now put 5,000 miles on my truck without a single problem. No sqeaks, rattles or anything. I think the gas mileage is great for a truck. Try to find an extended cab 4x4 truck now adays that gets 20 mpg in the city!! Fit and finish is top quality. I love the compact size and Im 64". I think there is plenty of room. Lots of storage area in the cab believe it or not. The reason I got this truck was because of the cult following they seem to have with them. Now I know why. I dont know about the new redesigned 05s but I am sure they will be just great. Great Truck off road it will handle anything you can through at it.

  • My review of the best truck ever! - 2004 Toyota Tacoma

This truck has been my favorite of all time. I have always had a Toyota truck and always will. This truck and my previous truck have never let me down. Everything about it is great. The reliabilty of these motors will outlast any motor on the market today. 5 thumbs up.

  • Great Overall Truck!! - 2004 Toyota Tacoma

Have had this truck for nearly 2 years and just hit over 25K miles and it still runs perfectly. Ive taken it all across Florida down to Key West 4 times from Gainesville. It can be a little uncomfortable after hours of driving, but it is a truck and not a luxury car. I get pretty good gas mileage 19-20 in the city and 22-23 on highway. It is perfect for someone who wants the versatility of a SUV and the drive of a car. I put the tonneau cover on and it makes it a giant waterproof, locked trunk with an increase in gas mileage. Once or twice the truck took a while to turn over when I started her up, but it hasnt been a problem. I wish the turning radius were better for a compact truck.

Ive done every type of wheeling that you can do, and this thing stock performs better offroad than anything (other than a jeep rubicon). Slight dash rattle but a TSB is available.

This is the third 4WD truck Ive owned. My first was a Ford Ranger which turned out to be a lemon. My second was a Dodge Dakota, which I loved, and owned for 12 years. So far I like this Tacoma a little better than my Dakota. It is easy and fun to drive, and a very comfortable ride. I just hope that it turns out be as dependable as the Dakota.

  • Perfect vehicle - double cab 4x4 TRD. - 2004 Toyota Tacoma

I needed a vehicle that can haul 4 people, tow a boat, fit on off-road mountain trails, go in the mud, haul firewood, and still get decent mileage. A full-size wont go where I need it to and 12-15 mpg isnt that appealing. Enter the Tacoma double cab 4x4 with TRD. I took my first trip with it last weekend. We travel with 2 dogs, 2 coolers, and 4 large totes. Our destination is a hunting cabin in the woods which requires traversing a couple miles of tight, rough trails that a full-size cant do without scratches and scrapes. Quite simply, I dont know of any other vehicle that could possible meet my needs any better than the 2004 Double Cab 4x4 w/ TRD.

I love my 4x4. We bought the 4x4 and the stock 2x2 2004 Tacomas. The Limited package added the luxury I was looking for in a vehicle I love to drive it.
