  • Pleasantly Surprised - 2001 Toyota Sequoia

Last year we purchased the vehicle out of a five year lease because it had been so reliable and functional. For the first time, I couldnt find anything in the market that I preferred having. With 94k miles, it still drives like new. We plan to keep it for several more years and miles. It is a great road car and very comfortable to drive not only for the driver and the front passenger but passengers in the back seat as well. We have been surprised how often we choose to travel by driving than flying.

  • Bought used at 90K miles, doing great - 2001 Toyota Sequoia

I needed a vehicle to tow a 2 horse trailer on a $10K budget. Found my Sequoia used with 89K miles in Oct. 2008. The dealer had detailed it so that it took a lot of hard looking to tell it was not a new car. Still at 90K miles you have to wonder. I checked it over and bought it and immediately changed all the fluids and made sure all maintenance was up to date. This motor needs a new timing belt at 90K and got that done, changed the plugs and they might have been the originals. The gas mileage computer showed the previous owner got 14 mpg. I am getting 18 overall. Great used vehicle for me, no issues now at 110K miles and 1 1/2 years later. Pulls the trailer great, lot of room.

When we first bought this suv I thought we had made a mistake because of its size, after a short amount of time I loved the size, comfort, power and ride. This is a safe suv to drive and is easy to manuever in traffic, the pick-up is great. I would buy another Sequoia.

  • Still Loving It - 2001 Toyota Sequoia

Bought this SUV new in 2001. Traded in a 4 Runner. Now have nearly 100M miles. We have had no mechanical problems of any kind. Great Vacation Car. Great Car for hauling kids stuff to college. The highway comfort and ride is the best I have experienced in any vehicle. It is large for hauling stuff but there is no bouncing or truck like handling. No rust, no rattles, steering and brakes still solid after nearly 10 years. We dont drive off road, but the Sequoia is great in the snow here in Chicago. Good speed and acceleration for highway passing. Mileage is superb for a vehicle this size. Better than our Acura MDX and friends Explorer.

  • Its worth the $$... - 2001 Toyota Sequoia

Ive had the Sequoia for over a year now and have put 23,000 miles on. Weve travelled through the mountains (pulling another car), driven on long trips, and used it for everyday work trips - and its been awesome! Havent had a single problem - everything works great and its been a great improvement from past unreliable brands (Dodge).

Just love it! My husband and I leased it two years ago, and now we are going to purchase it, because we want to keep it.

This truck is the one! Its fun to drive and the quality is TOPS! I do alot of travel (40,000) and this truck is awesome! Previous owner of a few 4- runners and thought the added room would come in handy. The resale on toyota product is great if you take care of your vehicle. Cant say enough good things about the sequoia. Go out and drive one today..........

  • 2 Sets of Brakes - 2001 Toyota Sequoia

Overall pleased with the vehicle after one year, but have been through one set of brakes and routers and are having problems again. A friend of mine is having the same problem with his LandCruiser. This was not covered by warranty as it was deemed "normal wear and tear" despite the fact that the car only had 15,000 miles. Dealer said they had them in at 9,000 miles before. Otherwise very pleased with vehicle.

  • considering one? - 2001 Toyota Sequoia

If you are considering this vehicle stop here. I went to Chicago Auto show and sat in all Suvs and can tell you this is the best! The seating and capacity will blow all competitors away. My neighbors bought a Denali and said they wish they wouldve bought a Sequoia after seeing mine. Just remember. It may be a little more $ but you get what you pay for!

When I need to replace this auto, it will be another Sequoia.
