Overview & Reviews
The standard 4.7-liter V8 now delivers 282 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque and is hooked to a five-speed automatic transmission. The Sequoia also gets a new front fascia and grille, redesigned taillamps, an in-glass antenna and color-keyed fender flares. A new sport package for the SR5 includes foglamps, tubular running boards, a height-adjustable rear suspension, a front skid plate, the JBL premium sound system and 16-inch alloy wheels. A new Limited Luxury package includes second-row leather bucket seats, a removable center console, unique wood trim, electroluminescent gauges, the height-adjustable rear suspension and memory for the driver seat and outside mirrors. Other additions include available push-button engagement for the 4WD system and an optional navigation system. There's also a new rollover sensor that triggers the side and head curtain airbags in the event of a rollover accident. A third-row center headrest has been added to all Sequoias.
- Refined drivetrain, surprisingly agile handling, versatile and comfortable interior, Toyota reputation for reliability.
- Nondescript styling, low towing capacity for a full-size SUV.

Defective 2005 Sequoia - 2005 Toyota Sequoia
By Tony - April 10 - 8:26 pmVery upset with the purchase of this Sequoia. I drove it off the lot and start to have problems with the power steering fluids. I first I thought it was the dealer not doing their job but apparently I had a defective power steering pump. The car didnt even have 200 miles and it was giving me problems. I would definitely hold off on purchasing the 2005 maybe Toyota will make some recalls.

Excellent SUV - 2005 Toyota Sequoia
By momochan - January 22 - 2:16 pmReal safe vehicle, rides smooth, sturdy, reliable, handles like a luxury vehicle. The appearance is quite appealing. The thing that attracted me to the Sequoia was the look of it. I already knew about the value in owning a Toyota, the longevity of the engine but since the Sequoia came into production in 2000, I believe, I thought WOW they finally did it. After being impressed with the Land Cruiser, but not its price, Toyota went and duplicated the effort in a 20,000 difference. Im proud to be an owner of the 2005 Toyota Sequoia and hope that this body style doesnt change any time soon, after all why mess with a good thing?

My Sequoia - 2005 Toyota Sequoia
By british1970 - October 21 - 7:20 amVery nice and very reliable, the only problem with Sequoia 05 is there is NO automatic door hatch in the back and its hard to operate when it rains or when you have something in your hand and consumes a lot of gas,but the rest is ok its very powerful.
