This Year's Model Updates:

The standard 4.7-liter V8 now delivers 282 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque and is hooked to a five-speed automatic transmission. The Sequoia also gets a new front fascia and grille, redesigned taillamps, an in-glass antenna and color-keyed fender flares. A new sport package for the SR5 includes foglamps, tubular running boards, a height-adjustable rear suspension, a front skid plate, the JBL premium sound system and 16-inch alloy wheels. A new Limited Luxury package includes second-row leather bucket seats, a removable center console, unique wood trim, electroluminescent gauges, the height-adjustable rear suspension and memory for the driver seat and outside mirrors. Other additions include available push-button engagement for the 4WD system and an optional navigation system. There's also a new rollover sensor that triggers the side and head curtain airbags in the event of a rollover accident. A third-row center headrest has been added to all Sequoias.

Pros:
  • Refined drivetrain, surprisingly agile handling, versatile and comfortable interior, Toyota reputation for reliability.
Cons:
  • Nondescript styling, low towing capacity for a full-size SUV.

  • Lovin My Quoia! - 2005 Toyota Sequoia

I absolutely love my vehicle. I can always rely on it to drive well and it never gives me any problems. The gas is very expensive but everything great about the vehicle makes up for it. I not only love it, I am proud to drive it.

  • Went to buy a van - 2005 Toyota Sequoia

I went to buy a van and almost did, till I drove the Sequoia. I felt just like I did when I was 16 and bought my 1st Toyota, a 1977 Celica. Still the best I’ve ever owned, brand new off showroom floor. Wife and I were going to buy a van my kids insisted we drive a Sequoia before we made our mind up. The van was it until I hit the gas pedal and felt the smooth acceleration and was very impressed when I looked at the speedometer and saw I was way past speed limit. Why buy a Lexus.

The Sequoia has been great! It was bigger than I thought however drove much smaller very nimble. I did not like how the Tahoe and the GMC products steering felt (too loose), and the entrance to the back seats are much easier than the Navigator. The engine sounds deep when you step, otherwise fairly quiet. Gas mileage is not good but its a V8. No problems with squeaks or rattles of any kind.

  • very good - 2005 Toyota Sequoia

Overall I have been very pleased. I expect to get a lot of milage out it, which I did not get from Jeep Cherokees I had in the past. The power is sufficient. I do not tow things, which if you did, might look at something with more torque.

  • I love this car - 2005 Toyota Sequoia

I am a mother of 3 very active boys, I love this car. I had a Yukon XL prior to this and there is no comparision. The Toyota is just a far superior product and Cherokee Toyota was very pleasent to deal with. There service shop is one of the best I have ever seen. We take our other cars there too.

  • Great Truck! - 2005 Toyota Sequoia
    By -

I have owned many different SUVs over the years, this is without a doubt the best Ive ever owned. I had a Chev Blazer, Chev Tahoa, Ford Explorer, Ford Expedition and Jeep. Nothing compares to the quality of the truck. I have not had any problems in 35,000 miles. I would definitely recommend the SUV to anyone needing this type of vehicle.

  • Sequia is Top SUV - 2005 Toyota Sequoia
    By -

I never regretted getting rid of my unreliable Mistubishi Montero. I have had no problems out of my Toyota Sequia. I highly recommend this SUV for its reliablity, drive, handling, and style. Ask for Z she will work a great deal for you at Toyota of Bowie. Tell her Charles Johnson a happy customer sent you. The guy that gave her the redskin tickets for working such a great deal for him by finding the exact SUV (color & options) that he wanted.

this is the 5th toyota for our family. they are the most reliable and all around thumbs up. we have had old landcruisers, and I drove a celica for 17 years and had almost 300,000 miles on it and still sold it for 300.00 more than i bought it for. As long as you do the normal maintance, toyota will keep on going. I will not have another vehicle in our drive way! well worth the money in the long run!!!
