Why? - 2004 Toyota Prius
By Jalen72 - March 14 - 10:00 amI am the proud owner of a Ford Excursion and a former owner of a Mitsubishi Montero Sport, the latter was wrecked recently and we rented a Toyota Prius, this car is sooooo nice. Did I mention I had an excursion and now I am in something that gets 60 MPG, let me see, 12MPG vs 60 MPG, I can put up with the narrow seats, heck I need to drop a few lbs, I can put up with the slow take off,the excursion cant go over 85 MPH anyway, to make this simple, with the recent situation in the Middle East, I have nothing but praise for this car, I would save a the equivilant of a car note by trading down. Did I mention 60 MPG. Enough said.

City driving was never so much fun - 2004 Toyota Prius
By Unagi - March 9 - 10:00 amContrary to many other reports, we are happy with our gas mileage as we are averaging between 53 and 55 mpg in mixed driving. We love this car (have package 7), especially fit and finish of vehicle. Enjoy very much the display screen that has made us more peaceful and calmer drivers! Neighbors laugh that they never hear us coming. Other owners in town always smile and wave at us - its a small, but proud, club.

It must have been engineered by a woman! - 2004 Toyota Prius
By teensthree - December 7 - 10:00 amGreat car...no brainer gas milage. We use it for everything from long road trips, to moving, to getting groceries. Even room enough to bring a 6 foot table home from auction. And the best part ever....no digging in the purse to find the keys!!!! Had to have been desinged by a woman!!!

Awesome! - 2004 Toyota Prius
By Sblantonus - November 12 - 2:00 amI waited nearly three months for this car, but it was well worth it. Though it does not have the acceleration of a sports car, it is still perfectly acceptable, and very fun to drive. In fact, it is fun to drive, fun to own, fun to see the looks of envy from other drivers, and will be fun at tax time when I can take a nice deduction for buying a hybred. Its just awesome. I love it!

they said it could not be done - 2004 Toyota Prius
By mkitty - November 12 - 2:00 amI love the idea of using an electric motor to save on gasoline usage. And it doesnt have to be plugged in. The gasoline engine shuts off at stops and the A/C runs off the the battery, not the gasoline engine. Just a couple of ways to save gas money and decrease emissions. Not only that, but it is a very attractive, spacious, and well-made car that is fun to drive.

What a car!!! - 2004 Toyota Prius
By Grandma2 - October 31 - 6:56 pmWe long anticipated owning this car. It took us 6 months on the waiting list to finally arrive. We got the top-of-the-line package (#9) with 6 air bags & voice activated navagation system. We have put close to 7k miles on the car & not a single problem. This is a fantastic car to drive, very quiet (except on steep grades), exceptional mileage (avg 47MPG since we have owned it), very reliable and comfortable with the isofoam seats!! I cant say enough about how refined this car is and how everything works so well together. The car is very roomy inside & has good space utilization (hatchback & fold down seats). My one big worry is if I break down in the middle of nowhere!!!!

Toyota Prius is a Winner - 2004 Toyota Prius
By DFS - September 30 - 2:00 amMy 2004 Toyota Prius does everything well. Adequate power and great fuel economy. Plenty of useful storage space when the back seats are lowered. The controls are well designed. Toyota has given this car a lot of thought, and it shows. This car proves that energy and the environment can be conserved without sacrifice.
