Best Car in the World - 2004 Toyota Prius
By PennyPincher23 - December 21 - 10:00 amThis is my wifes car and she doesnt try at all to conserve fuel, and she still gets 45 MPG. Doesnt matte if it is stop and go commute or over the hills to the beach. She loves it and was very happy to have waited 6 months for it in her color (red). The most amazing thing to me is that the engine is cutting in and out constantly and you dont feel any change - smooth as silk. I drove it a little and was able to make a steady 30 mph for about a mile without using the engine AT ALL! Very comfortable, quiet (especially at stop lights!), roomy, expecially in the back. Handles easily, and can accelarate up freeway on ramps as well as a Camry.

2004 Prius - 2004 Toyota Prius
By CDN - December 21 - 10:00 amThe advancements over the 2001 Prius I owned are numerous. The owners manual is over 350 pages and it covers many features the older Prius did not have. I am loving it.

Over 24,000 miles with lifetime avg... - 2004 Toyota Prius
By bubbles - November 15 - 5:26 amLifetime average (calculated by keeping detailed records) is just above 54mpg and has improved over the first years use. Only change weve done is to use synthetic oil. We have not babied this vehicle and drive it on short errands as well as long trips, cold weather and hot.

By pdpapa - November 13 - 2:00 amArrived 4 months after order was placed. Only have for two weeks. Took on trip to Las Vegas from Palm Desert CA. first week. Fun car to drive although it is a little light for me. Have Lexus RX300 as primary car, heavy. Car belongs to wife, she lets me drive when she is sleeping. lol Now we fight over who gets the Prius. Who ever travels futhest that day gets the Toyota.

Its normal - Really - 2004 Toyota Prius
By jbr214 - October 7 - 2:00 amAbout 9 months ago I started to look for a new car and did the usual research. I had pretty much decided on getting a Passat. Then, I heard about the new version of the Prius. Truthfully I hadnt heard much about the old version. After doing my research on the new car, it did seem like it might be the first no compromise hybrid car. I liked the more powerful engine and the larger interior space. But, the thing that tipped the scale in favor of the Prius was the amount of high end features available for the car - smart entry and start, voice navigation system, blue tooth cell phone integration . . .
