  • Simply the best car. - 2004 Toyota Prius

Edmunds has overlooked the 2004 Prius. It has made driving more enjoyable. The gas mileage is great but the main feature that attracted me was the style and feel of the drive. The seats are very well constructed and comfortable. Edmunds said that the Prius has a low resale value, evidently the facts didnt get in the way of that reviewers opinion. I have found used Prius cars in my area selling for near what new ones do, not to mention the price of the 2004 Prius has climbed in the last 7 months, some people are paying thousands over sticker.

Toyota has another winner! This vehicle is surprisingly lively for a 1.5L engine. handling is that of a much heavier car; very solid. A little limited on cargo space but still able to transport a wheel chair. Ideal for around town driving and excellent milage on hiway.

  • Fun, interesting, AND economical - 2004 Toyota Prius

I have to admit I expected a fuddy- duddy car that would get great gas mileage. I was completely wrong. The acceleration is very good. I would say it is as good as any 6 cylinder sedan. The most amazing part is the lack of a traditional transmission. There is no engine noise, no whine, and no feeling of shifting, so you dont have the verbal clues as to speed. The toys on the high end model are as good as any car made. The navigation system also has Bluetooth phone capabilities. Calls come in and display on the car screen. You anser with a button on the steering wheel that also mutes the stereo.

  • Gas over $2.00/gal? No problem! - 2004 Toyota Prius

While I had to wait for my new Prius for 2 months, I have only owned my Prius for about a month. I am really loving it so far. I took it for a road trip of 400 miles each way and averaged 47.5 miles to the gallon on the highway. No complaints there!!! And the hatchback style is very convenient. I waited for several years for someone to come out with a convenient 4-door hatch.

We are shopping for a vehicle. The prius is high on our list. We are waiting for 2005 to purchase but would like to see additional features on this car. would like to see a bit of a size increase, not much but a little. We hear Honda is making a hybrid accord which may be the biggest compitition.

  • One Of the Best Ive owned - 2004 Toyota Prius

I own the 2004 Toyota Prius which is about 5 steps up from my last car, a 2002 Toyota Prius. I cant say enough of how much Ive enjoyed my first Prius and now the new one is even better. I have driven Lexus cars prior to my first Prius and appreciate a fine car, but the Prius has been great and I have absolutely no complaints but only accalades for the car.

  • A dream car - 2004 Toyota Prius

Though we have only had our Prius for a month, we are completely sold on it. It is fun to drive, has a sharp turning radius and corners well, and is easy to park. We plan to order a second one soon, knowing that delivery will be maybe almost two years away. We keep finding little extras like the light that shows one where they are stepping as they exit in the dark. Our overall mpg at this time is over fifty on the highway and over sixty in town for an average of 53.6 mpg.

  • Im Impressed! - 2004 Toyota Prius

I test drove the car yesterday and just ordered one! I was skeptical go in and walked away in AWE! Very good acceleration, I got on the highway and was doing 70 before I knew it, impressive since I drive a 03 Accord. The acceleration is so smooth that you dont realize how fast you are going. Unofficially I did 0-60 in 10 seconds. Interion space is excellent, better leg room than the Camry or Accord and just slightly narrower. You could easily put 3 kids in the back and very comfortable with 2 6 ft adults and a 10 year old. If your considering a Camry or Accord you definately need to look at this for about the same price.

  • Dealership-Car. 100% Delight! - 2004 Toyota Prius
    By -

So heres the deal. From day 1 I was told 6 months wait list. Not true. LESS THAN 2 WEEKS from deposit to driving off the lot. The car is amazing, everyone at work is AMAZED... Even my 85 year old grandfather was acting like a 10 year old kid with a thousand questions. AND, I can get from Los Angeles to Seattle on less than 2 tanks of gas that will cost me less than $40 TOTAL!!! If you have questions but dealerships scare you, email me. I will be happy to help in any way I can. (SERIOUSLY!) :) This is an absolutely BRILLIANT automobile I think everyone should test drive when considering a new car.

A lot of "wow" factor with this car for friends and family; extremely solid; Camry-like except newer-looking and cooler.
