173,000 miles to date. Still original exhaust, and one brake job! The engine and transmission remain strong. The biggest repair was a driver side power window motor. The vehicle has been bullet proof and extremely reliable. At legal speeds during highway trips, the V6 returns 29-32 mpg. The car continues to earn my respect with each passing maintenance free mile.

After 10 years of owning this car, its time to find a replacement. But with such excellent reliability Im compelled to buy another Camry. The only thing unusual that went wrong with this car in the 10 yrs is that both front axles had to be replaced. I called Toyota directly and they confirmed that this was a problem with the particular model/year. In fact, it is the only technical service bulletin on this particular car. No other known problems, which is quite astonishing. Id buy another in a heartbeat - but I just wish they could make a look somewhat more interesting.

My 1993 Camry is reliable, quick, and safe. I have had no major or minor problems in the years since I bought it new. The ride is really nice and smooth.

Bought new and have had minimal problems--cruise control replaced under warranty, drivers side power window (at 190K). Other than that, just the regular stuff.

For 1993 camry I like the comfort, interior design and very good reliabilty. However, the bad side is that four cylinder lacks power on the highway.

  • best used car i ever had - 1993 Toyota Camry

all i would like to say is that this 93 camry se its the S**T!!!. i love this car and dont think about selling it any time soon. i go to college upstate Ny and drive an estimate of a 400miles every 2 months for the last 3 years and so far no problem. Only problem that the car ever had was the transmission. The 5th gear wasnt working but i fixed it with less than $1000USD and never again transmission problems. My its a 5speed so its really good with gas even for a v6. my dads 2004 camry le drags more gas than mine, i dont how but it does. maybe because my dads its automatic and mine is 5 speed so im able to change the gears for the right time. When it comes to speed and peformance 10/10

Had it almost six years. things dont break often but cost some money to repair. almost 10yrs old, 160000 miles so getting old. Engine sounds great but has lost power. some days feels new or feels as sluggish as a corrolla. Transmition very rarely doesnt want to go into overdrive when first started but eventually does. ive ragged this car(probably why losing power) and its not burning oil. Body style is ten years old but it still looks, sounds, and rides like a new car. very reliable, in shop less than neighbors 2000 impala, always starts unlike their 1995 monte carlo, and never squeeks like my other neighbors 2000 suburban does every few months.

Bought at 125,000 miles, only had to replace tires, and distributor. Most reliable vehicle ever owned

  • A Classic - 1993 Toyota Camry

This soon to be antique is still a good reliable daily drive 23 years out. Toyota built a luxury comfortable car with all the bells and whistles that is sturdy and reliable like a work horse

  • You need to drive one yourself - 1993 Toyota Camry

This is my first car, I bought it about 2 years ago and am in love with it. Ive had to deal with maintanance (tune up, tires, oil, brakes) and what not, but for a 12 year old car that is expected. It is SOLID and drives smoothly. In the snow, it holds its own and you feel safe in it. The v6 engine is awesome and I hope Ill never have to descend down to a v4 ever. After driving one, you wont be able to part. The appearance could be better, but it looks ahead of the game with a late-90s look. Dependable, reliable, simply common sense.
